I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Hello. I am writing this review in an effort to save a family from a scam Debbie Phelps and her husband participate in. This is a long story I know, but anyone who would dump a baby for being too difficult after only watching him for 18 days and then keeping over 1,000 dollars SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED. Do not let Debbies nice house and friendly upbeat attitude fool you, she is clearly unfit to take care of children and is just in it to take people’s money and then break a contract and dump your child with absolutely no reasonable explanation. So sad and shameful, My husband and I have never felt so taken advantage of and shocked my pure evil. Luckily we went on to find a great daycare where they loved our son and also told us he was one of the easiest babies ever watched, totally contrary to Debbie the scammers claim. Please do not be fooled by Debbie Phelps. They accepted a hefty deposit from my husband and I to have our 3 month old son begin daycare. He went here for about 1 and a half months, part time. He was then scheduled to start going full time. I had started feeling that motherly instinct suspecting poor care when I went to pick up my son and Debbie had him lying on the floor in a screaming fit. She would act overwhelmed and annoyed upon pickup time so I asked her if everything was okay and she would tell us how she thought he was difficult because of needing a lot of attention. Debbie would also act annoyed when I dropped my son off right at her opening time of 7:30 am. She would then probe for when we would be back to pick him up and I would tell her by 5 when they closed again she acted like this was a bad thing even thought this is her own advertised hours and what was in the contract. I couldn’t drop off or pick up any later or earlier since I work a full 8 hour day, as normal working people do. It turns out Debbies other clients are teachers with shorter hours so she did not always have kids there as early or as late as mine, this clearly annoyed Debbie as she would text us to ask what time we would get there to pick up. Again we will be there after work before you close - jeez! 2 weeks before our son was scheduled to go full time (a month after starting care there) Debbie then told us that she could not watch our son because he was too difficult. I asked how so, and she said he required constant attention and she could not get him down for naps so it was distracting the other children. Keep in mind , when my son was home with me or being taken care of by family members at this time. he took multiple 1-3 hour naps per day, easily. Yes, when he was awake he wanted attention and to be held, but I thought that was how all babies were. Unfortunately, Debbie proved she was unfit to take care of a typical baby then 4 and a half months old. Which would have honestly been fine with me, until she refused to refund our deposit and future weeks pay. How could she dump my child and not refund our deposit of almost 1 thousand dollars? He had only been there 18 days total. When I disputed this to her over the telephone she started yelling at me. I felt totally taken advantage of, and so shocked that I trusted this individual to watch my son.

My wife and I have a daughter and we are separated so the provider needs to speak to us both but she decides to only speak to my wife since they are friends. I live in FL but she only sends me the bills. I call she doesn't answer i send emails asking for tax id for the taxes and nothing. This shows a lot of what kind of person she is and i would never accept my daughter going there that if she really goes there.
