Description: Head Start is a comprehensive child and family development program designed to meet the educational, social, nutritional and health needs of families with pre-school aged children. A recognized leader in the field of early childhood education, Head Start helps children become physically, socially and emotionally ready for elementary school. Services such as transportation, nutritious meals, medical, dental, vision and speech/ hearing screenings (and follow-up treatment) are also provided. Staff help parents improve their parenting skills, and provide a variety of other training opportunities to families, as well as the chance to join peer support groups. Family involvement in Head Start is encouraged and parents play a key role in the program's design and policy making. We serve children ages 3 - 5. The family must meet income guidelines and/or other qualifications to be eligible. Click here to see the latest guidelines. We serve children who have disabilities or special needs.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
