Plan: Staff will complete an active supervision training and will insure that all areas that children play in is supervised by staff at all times. Area supervisor stated they will also speak with staff and insure that staff are not standing or talking together. Staff will be walking the playground and will not be sitting. Staff will assist children on the stepping stools when in use. If there is another area of the playground where supervision is required the stepping stools will be closed and child will not be allowed to play on until a staff can supervise and assist them. They are also going to develop a map of the playground and place teachers in areas to insure that supervision is met at all times. Head Start director will have the playground developer who is certified in playground safety looker over the playground to see if the stepping stool equipment needs to be removed. And they will also be researching the equipment to see if there is any other injuries with the same piece of equipment. Correction Date: 2018-12-12 |
