I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

I recently interviewed at this location, and my first impression was mixed. Most of the staff seemed unhappy and didn't appear very welcoming, which made the atmosphere feel uncomfortable.

However, one teacher, Ms. Tonya, completely changed my impression. I could hear her singing and dancing with the children before I even entered the classroom. She greeted me with a warm hug and wished me good luck on my interview. She was energetic, engaging, and clearly loved working with the kids. Her positive attitude and genuine passion for her job really stood out. She was a bright spot during my visit and made a lasting impression.

I was very pleased with Northside. The labor and delivery nurse, Pam, was the sweetest lady ever! She was there to help me whenever i needed her. She made me feel so good and special. She treated me as if she had known me for years. After i got moved upstairs Katie M. took care of me. She was sooo sweet to me and my daughter. She spent so much time with us and helping me adjust to my first baby. I never expected to get such great service! i was extrememly pleased! Those two nurses are truely special to me, i will never forget them.

About the Provider

Northside Hospital Child Development Center is dedicated to supporting employees and associates by providing a developmentally appropriate program for children. We recognize that a child’s early years provide the foundation for later development. A young child, therefore, needs time to participate in experiences that provide a secure foundation for the future. Development is a truly fascinating and wonderful phenomenon and should not be accelerated or skipped. Each period of a child’s development should be allowed to evolve according to the individual child.

The program provides each child an individualized curriculum implemented by highly trained and experienced, caring adults. This curriculum is based on the philosophy that learning develops through play, which is the primary vehicle through which children learn. Play is an avenue for self-expression and for organization of the world. We believe that learning occurs when children are actively involved with people and materials in their environment. Such learning is facilitated in a loving, home-like atmosphere that provides a variety of challenging but non-stressful activities and materials.

Our program provides an atmosphere that emphasizes understanding and acceptance of all children and families where differences are understood, respected, encouraged, and mediated when necessary.
