this school New Society...... was the best thing for my son, he started school with a lot of behavior issues. If i was not mature enough to take the reply from people i would never get my behavior temper tantrum son help..... the children in the school was at times the problem because the children my have had problems and the parents never addressed it... i thanks that this school was a building block for my son and now he graduated and is still making a great step towards his future thanks so much Mr and Mrs. Lawrence
STAY AWAY! DON;T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! THIS PLACE IS DIRTY AND GHETTO!!
THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL TO HANDLE CHILDREN NOR DO THEY CARE ABOUT THE WELL BEING OF YOUR CHILD WHILE IN THEIR CARE.
My four year child attended this daycare in late 2013. At first, I thought it was great because they were right down from the street from us vs my child's previous daycare which was out of my way when going to and from work to drop and pick my child up. At first I called to make sure they had availability they told me NO AVAILABILITY FOR 4 YEAR OLD. So,a day later I decided to stop by anyway to look at the daycare and asked if they had availability. It was a miracle they all of a sudden had space for my child.
The first few weeks there seemed okay my child said it was "Ok". They would send her home with some homework which I liked very much :) but after 3 weeks..homework stopped coming? not sure why but I never received any kind of worksheets for my child to work on at home.
First of all, I liked Ms. Gail she was always nice to the parents greeted them politely she was very professional. I am not too sure about how their curriculum for the preschool children who are not in VPK yet but it seems my child was not learning anything from my child's teacher in her age group which was the 3 year old class ( although she just turned 4 she was not eligible for VPK because she missed the cut off date) My child WOULD COME HOME everyday to tell me how sad she was and she didn't like the teacher that was teaching her age group. Apparently, my child was advanced in her class but they would not allow her to go with the appropriate age group for her which was the 4 year old class. I was called out of work NUMEROUS TIMES because they claimed they could not get her to calm down. They would constantly call my job to tell me to pick my child up.
It was to the point where the DIRECTOR OF THE SCHOOL MS.LAWRENCE called me personally herself and spoke HORRENDOUS THINGS of my child. OH AND BY THE WAY MY CHILD WAS ATTENDING THEIR DAYCARE FOR 2-3 MONTHS AND MS.LAWRENCE THE DIRECTOR COULD NOT GET MY CHILD'S NAME RIGHT SHE REPEATEDLY KEPT SAYING A DIFFERENT NAME UNTIL I CORRECTED WHICH I THINK SHE FELT OFFENDED BECAUSE SHE THEN STARTED TELLING ME THE HORRENDOUS THINGS ABOUT MY CHILD She let me know if I do not control my child's behavior which is just a little temper tantrum WHAT CHILD DOESN'T HAVE ONE EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE? MS.LAWRENCE SAID that my child would later on grow up to be one of those little 12 year old girls who sneak out their bedroom windows to go sneak off to see boys. MY CHILD IS 4 YEARS OLD! I was really offended when she said that. She also went on to say she had another child who was a "problem" child and that that "problem" child had to be put on RITALIN. That pretty much did it for me.. I didn't appreciate her telling me how my child will end up in the future or proposing perhaps my child needs to be controlled under PSYCHOACTIVE DRUGS. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CHILD MIND YOU. ALSO THEY LET THE CHILDREN PLAY ON THE PLAYGROUND AND THEY LET THEM PLAY WITH THE DIRT NOT SAND IN THE SAND BOX DIRT WITH BUGS IN IT AS WELL! MY CHILD CAME HOME WITH SOME KIND OF BUG BITE RASH ALL OVER HER LEGS BECAUSE THEY ALLOWED HER TO PLAY IN THE DIRT AND PLAY WITH THE DRINKING WATER FOUNTAIN OUTSIDE WHERE OTHER CHILDREN WERE PLAYING WITH THE DIRT IN THE WATER FOUNTAIN. IT WAS DISGUSTING!!!! I WOULD PICK MY CHILD UP AND SHE ALWAYS COME HOME FILTHY!!!! DIRT ALL OVER HER FACE HER HANDS AND HER CLOTHES SWEATY OR POSSIBLY WATER FROM THE DIRTY DRINKING WATER FOUNTAIN REGARDLESS IT WAS GROSS THEY WOULD SEND MY CHILD HOME FILTHY. I THINK THEY SHOULD BE RE-INSPECTED. THIS PLACE IS SO GHETTO PLEASE STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. THERE ARE OTHER DAYCARES IN THE AREA THAT ARE MUCH MORE PROFESSIONAL CLEAN AND SAFE. DON;T THINK ABOUT CONVENIENCE OF LOCATION OR COST BECAUSE REMEMBER YOU ARE LEAVING YOUR CHILDREN'S WELL BEING HEALTH AND SAFETY IN THE CARE OF THESE PEOPLE!!
MY CHILD HAS BEEN ATTENDING ANOTHER DAYCARE NEARBY AND IS DOING WONDERFUL :) I AM VERY HAPPY FOR THE TRANSITION I THINK US MOVING HER OUT OF THE DIRTY GHETTO UNPROFESSIONAL DAYCARE WAS A BLESSING IN DISGUISE BECAUSE WE WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO FIND A BETTER DAYCARE PROVIDER!
