I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services
The kids are taught true enough but the director does belittle others quite a bit from my one and only encounter with her. She is rude and makes the facility seem like its more geared towards money than God, we went into one of the smaller kids room and she demonstrated how smart the kids are with the alphabets and when it got to g she asked what's the most important g we talk about here and I was thinking God but a little girl said girl and she said "no Gae", lol really and its a supposed to be "Christian" school yeah ok. She human so she makes mistakes a do all of us but that was very unprofessional and not good representation on the schools' part
I can honestly not believe the former commentor, but everyone's experience is different. My son has been at Mt. Hebron since August 2012 and it has been nothing but a wonderful experience. I don't get childcare south, and like all single parents I do struggle from time to time. I pay an additional $30/week for my son to stay one extra hour at daycare due to my workday being 10 hours long and not the standard 9. On the weeks where I'm late/unable to pay, Mrs. French (at the daycare front desk) has taken the initiative to review my account, and my sign in/out times to see if the extended stay fee applied to my account for that week. Several times she has been able to apply that unneeded extended stay fee to my account, to the tune of an entire week's daycare; thus saving me money when I'm in a bind. No other daycare that I know does that. During these same times, Mrs. Gay has been nothing but patient and caring with me, allowing me to bring my son, despite being 1, sometimes 2 weeks behind on payments. If I have nothing else but my word, they take that and I always honor it by paying the amount owed, when I tell them I will. The employees love, teach and care for your children as if they are their own. They'll keep you well informed of the happenings with your child and will make suggestions to make your life better, keep you knowledgeable and aware as a parent and as a Christian. My 1 yo is super attached to Mrs. Jean & Mrs. Marisol in the Crawlers Room. Some people think the cash price is high, but for the nicer daycares in Mobile, they are right in line. I couldn't imagine taking my son to another daycare and trusting anyone else with his care. From the early AM crew (Mrs. Nina, Mr. Reggie, Mr. Tucker, Mrs. Tiffany (I think)), to the front desk staff (Maxine, Mrs. French, Mrs. Daphne, Mrs. Kia), all of the teachers from Crawlers to pre-K4 are absolutely awesome. They literally greet you with a hug as if they've known you all your life. This daycare is the epitome of how a Christian daycare should be run. And no they don't bend to the every whim and will of every screaming parent, but I wouldn't want them to. As parents, and as humans we have to understand that not only are they a church, but they run a business as well, and above all they are held to a higher standard, so their parents and children (that they care for, most often for longer times than we as working parents can/do) they are too. I HIGHLY recommend this daycare facility to any parent looking for their child to go to a quality daycare where their child will be safe, cared for, loved & taught Christian values.
For me, no adequate price can be paid for the care that these people have and continue to show to myself and more importantly my child.
Thanks,
The owner of the daycare, Gay Davis, is very rude and very unGodly! She pretends she cares about the kids and think she is doing the parents a favor when she is not. I am 29 and she calls everyone little girl. She thinks she is above everyone and looks down on the kids and parents. She never has time for the parents. She has a very bad attitude problem and she treats her employees horrible. She has very bad memmory and the lies she tell will make you go insane, because she believes the lies she tells. I highly do not reccomend this daycare unless you dont care about religion and is acceptable of this behavior in a house of God.
