My child attended this facility from 10 months to 4 years. Child seemed happy but unwilling and scared to learn. It was after we moved to a new child care center that child started saying, "I want to be a police officer so I can arrest Miss Jill (director) and some of the teachers." Upon further explanation, child was pinched under arm, squeezed, thrown onto couch in office where child fell onto floor before being pulled up by arm and thrown onto couch again, slapped on hands and back, pushed down on playground, etc. This is a good kid, and I do not say that because it is mine. This child has received numerous awards and recognition at current facility for behavior and has shown great improvement in learning. Psychologist said child seemed to have experienced trauma and possibly abuse. I have reported these allegations and have followed up since. There is nothing that has been done since the abuse is not witnessed during the monitoring visit. I encourage you not to place your child in this facility. I had a very good relationship with the director and all teachers prior to removing my child. I assumed my child would tell me if something was wrong, so it never occurred to me my child thought this was how you are treated in school. It wasn't until child was not punished by means of pinching, pushing, yelling, throwing down, etc. by the new facility. I only wish I could have prevented this from ever happening. Parents, keep an open conversation with your children about the right and wrong way teachers and guardians should be punishing them in school. Let them know at a young age they should never be caused harm or pain. I pray this helps a child avoid this treatment in the future.
Caring, nice employees who teach the children the proper values of respect, kindliness, and honesty. The facilities might not be high-end, but the program is top notch. The director is very hands-on and has run the program for years.... She takes great pride in her program and it shows. This will be the third year for our son in the program and are very pleased with the experience.
Boring lessons for your children, not cool crafts and too many movies. Wish I could go to a school that was more hands-on and less worksheets. Only 2 CDC's on signal. Don't go here.
