We started my son here when he was 9 months old and he is now almost 3. We love Step In Time and have no complaints. Miss Annie, the manager, is lovely. All of the staff have been great. There has been a little turn over with the younger girls, but most of the staff have been there and my son has developed nice attachments. They send daily email updates and do progress reports. They're always available to talk and you can text after hours, which is so kind. One time we left "blue blanky" on a Friday, and they accommodated us, for example. And best of all, the kids are stimulated and taken care of. There is no TV, healthy snacks are offered, and they have an organized curriculum with various themes and key vocabulary for the week or month. It is multi-cultural and respectful to all. They do music, art, reading, and outdoor activities. The preschool even has monthly field trips. They have great hours (7-6), which was one issue my husband and I had because a lot of home daycares cater exclusively to people with 9-5s. Step in Time is always open (M-F) because they have a larger staff, so we've never had to scramble for last minute child care. It is at the junction of the MA pike, so my husband can drop off our son on route to work. There is a lot of shopping and services nearby, so it is convenient to run errands before or after drop off/pick up. And most of all, my son enjoys going to his school. There was a lot of illness that first year, and he has gotten some bumps and bruises, but that is going to be true with any daycare. And this year, my son's immune system and hygiene has finally improved and he only missed ONE day because of a mild fever. We are due with our second in 7 weeks, and it is such a relief knowing where he will be when he begins daycare at 8 months old. And while no daycare is cheap, the pricing is competitive, and I truly feel it is worth every penny because my son is developing so well, in large part because of the excellent early childhood care he has received.
