About the Provider
Merricat’s Castle School’s three classes are filled with adventure, discovery, tenderness and joy and encourage children to reach their full potential intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. Through carefully constructed goals, purposeful planning, age-appropriate resources and ongoing evaluation, Merricat’s curriculum has been thoughtfully designed to promote optimal growth.
Our preschoolers grow in a setting where the process of learning is an adventure. While our youngest children focus on the process of separation, our oldest children prepare for a successful and easy transition to primary school. In all class sessions, there are daily activities that anchor the schedule and include group meeting, outdoor time, classroom work, snack and story telling. Within this structure, children are encouraged to make their own choices. There is an easy balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities.
Merricat’s Castle’s dedicated staff includes skilled teachers and special education professionals. At Merricat’s, our preschoolers learn to meet challenges, appreciate differences and love learning. These achievements are reflected in the organization and routine of each classroom, the materials used, the activities engaged in, and most, of all, in the sensibilities of our devoted staff.
