Mama Ronda Child Care Center - Union City GA Child Care Learning Center

I get that Google reviews are important. But some reviews are obviously from mean people. People talk about Mama Ronda. It's strange that the people she helps most are the ones that dog the center or her name. This lady keep children free for some parents. She help parents and staff financially. Only an evil spirited person would speak so negatively. This center is great with autistic and special needs. This center teach sign language and 3 and 4 year Olds are reading. Workers get paid well. If workers violate policy they are released and get mad about it. Parents know that Ms Ronda is a good person but take her for granted. When they can't have their way or she ask them to start paying on their accounts they start complaining. I pray all who speaks ill of this center remember that God sees all. This lady and center is a blessing

This place is exceptional. I have 4 girls to attend this facility. The children learn a lot. The children were failing in their class work until I enrolled them at Mama Rondas. They tutor and provide other educational services. There is a mentor, and counselor who work with the families if needed. I love this place!

Mama Ronda’s Child Care Center and Pinnacle Pointe Daycare Academy ****FEEL FREE TO FACT CHECK**** I’m a mother first. I think it’s important to leave reviews whether good or bad. The ONLY thing consistent about these locations are Miss Marjorie’s professional behavior and her love for kids. Any parent seeking childcare knows that consistency, security communication, professionalism and a good reputation is key. I’ve been in contact with Mama Rhonda’s location during my maternity leave. I’m aware that things have changed with some daycares due to the pandemic so I would follow up at least once a week to verify if they were still 24 hours, if transportation was being provided, if they did virtual classes…etc….I like to provide names in my reviews so you know it’s real. I listed both daycares since they’re both owned by the same person. I was in consistent contact with the Director - Katrina Dawson since January 2021. She was well aware that my kids were going to start in March unless something changed on their end or due to the pandemic. Katrina scheduled a tour on February 17th @ 5:00pm. I showed up and she wasn’t there. I was upset because she could’ve called me if there was a change in plans. I would call the center and Katrina would tell me she would call me back, no call back. She extended her number to me and stated that she’s usually busy with kids or at her other place of employment so contact her directly. I would text her, no reply. We talked about transportation for my kids and she would NEVER follow back up with me regarding my inquiry. I met the owner Rhonda (Dr. Brown) Brown. She gave my kids and I a tour, she was very welcoming, we went over pricing, we confirmed a rate based on my schedule and we decided that we would continue to move forward with the center. I’m a very proactive Mom. I do NOT like to wait last minute to get things done especially when it comes to my kids. I talked with Mrs. Brown on 3/15/21. She informed me that she would be meeting a parent over the weekend and wanted me to come in on Sunday 3/21/21 @ 3:00pm. I did inform Mrs. Brown that would be the day before my kids are scheduled to start. I get to Mama Rhond’s Childcare on 3/21/21 @ 3:00pm sharp on Sunday with my kids. Another parent is there looking for a tour. He stated that he’s been waiting for there for some time. We finally get someone to come to the door and she tells us that no one is there to provide a with him with a tour (another no call no show – this place is so unprofessional). I informed her that I’m here to meet with Mrs. Brown. She contacts Shakeyta King (Mrs. Brown – Owner daughter) to let her know I’m waiting. Shakeya said “just tell her she’s sleep”! I replied “can someone wake her up”? My kids are scheduled to start tomorrow? Maybe she overslept. I just texted Katrina 4 hours ago to remind her that my kids would be starting tomorrow and Mrs. Brown this morning just to confirm and neither one of them said anything about any changes. I get on the phone with Shakeyta and she informed me that Mrs. Brown is not available because she out of town due to a family emergency. Me: Emergency? I though you said she was sleeping? So which one is it Shakeyta? Then she informed me that there’s a new Director by the name of Mrs. Carr. As of that morning, meanwhile, the other director Katrina was still communicating with me 4 hour prior. At this point, I’m on a three way call with Mrs. Carr and Mrs. King. Sunday 3/21/21 was my first time meeting both of them. They didn’t have any knowledge of the conversation I had with Katrina or Mrs. Brown. They’re throwing out all kind of prices at me. Mind out, Mrs. King could call her mother and verified any of this if she wanted to at any given time. Mrs. King said don’t worry about it, bring your kids tomorrow and we’ll get them started. We’ll contact Mrs. Brown and confirm pricing. I go up to the center on 3/22/21 @ 9:00am sharp. I ask for Mrs. King. They said she isn’t there. I walked from one door to the next, just to see Shakeyta King come out towards me. I say hello and introduce myself. I asked if she talked with her mother to confirm the pricing and if we could move forward with registration. She stated that we can do it between 3:00pm - 4:30pm today because she still has people to train. She stated that Mrs. Carr has not talked with Mrs. Brown regarding the pricing however that will not stop the enrollment. I get a call at 3:45pm from Shakeyta at first she asked for asked for the wrong parent and asked if my child has seizures. I said no you have the wrong number however; we are scheduled to speak today. She said no I’m not looking for you. She calls me back about 4 more times and ask if my kids have food allergies. I said the ones if informed you of earlier today? Yes! She said ok, we won’t be able to take them. I said why not? You could’ve told me that yesterday, early this morning but to wait until it’s time for me to be on my way to you it totally unprofessional. Prior to me providing this review I reached out to Mrs. Brown to speak with her directly regarding my experience. I want better for my people. I’m sure this is exactly why both of your locations AREN’T QUALITY RATED! However, I truly believe in order to help you get there you have to be receptive to feedback. Since we couldn’t have this conversation by phone or in person, I wanted give you some feedback so you and your staff would give other parents/guardians a better experience in the future.

This facility provides Virtual Learning for the children of parents who work the day shift and also have an optional homeschool using Time4Learning, Georgia Cyber Academy and Georgia Connections as well as Abeka. Children learn at a fast rate through fun and exciting ways of learning.

I have four children. The children are happy and excited to attend Mama Ronda's. Mama Ronda is very personable and goes the extra mile to assist the parents of the children. The facility and the staff are warm and friendly and the children learn a lot. My three year old is now reading 5 or 6 word sentences, writing his name and I owe it to Ms. P at Mama Ronda Child Care. No matter what shift I work, no matter what time I have to drop the boys off, one call to Mama Ronda and she make sure the boys are welcomed. This facility is by far the best.
