I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services
A while back I needed a last minute care provider for my children because my current one was unavailable. Upon arriving to Mrs.Latham's home, I was already tempted to turn around. There is a lot of clutter and strange people around the home. Not to mention her trailer is too small to have multiple children in. I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. I immediately noticed strange smells, dogs and cats who roamed in and out of the home freely who had fleas and what seemed to be mange on the dogs. I noticed that she collected statues and I made a comment saying, "My kids are going to have a field day trying to touch all of those" because they were in reach an average sized toddler. She stated coldly, "Oh no they won't" but the look on her face gave me a strange feeling. Her husband gave me strange vibes as well. I continued talking. She was watching 2 other children at that time. One was 3 years old and one was 8 months old. The 3 year old was so excited to other children her age and was twirling and smiling. Mrs.Latham grabbed her by her arm and told her to sit down. I was taken back while she was telling me that children get disciplined there. A while later, the 8 month old baby was hanging onto the baby gate that closed off there living room to the kitchen which was not sturdy so it was leaning. Her husband began to yell at him as if a 8 month old is going to understand. She went on to tell me about how her and the children would take walks down to the main roam picking up trash which I thought was a weird activity to do with toddlers. Needless to say, I did not allow her to watch my children and also believe that she should not be watching others' children.
