Description: Welcome to Lil Southern Dreamers! I'm so happy to see we have visitors. Let me take just a moment of your time before you tour my wonderful site.
Why did I choose childcare? It wasn't my dream to be a caregiver. No, my ultimate goal was to be the best mother possible. You see, I have three beautiful children, two of which have high functioning mental retardation. They are teenagers now, but 12 years ago, they were 3, 4, and 5.
Well, I guess you could say my path in life took a really big detour. I went back to school, got my LPN Degree, started my kids in daycare, and became an independent woman. Ok, wait a minute, too good to last. I did say I started my kids in daycare. One after the other. Over and over again. I thought a daycare is where children go for the day to be cared for.
I realized having a great job meant nothing to me unless I knew my children were being cared for properly. So, what did I do? Yep, quit my job, took all of my savings, and started my own daycare. It was hard at first. It takes a lot, as far as licensure goes, to open a licensed daycare center. I almost didn't make it. I remember the first year I enrolled a total of 12 children, three of them my own. Soon, I realized it does take a special person to work with children. Now, after many years, I am settled, my daycare has grown, and my children are happy.
Sure there are minor hiccups, but to have a job I absolutely love, and that loves me back, who could be so lucky? I invite you to come and meet me and my staff, where we "specialize in one on one attention."
No appointments necessary! EVER!
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

Called to check the availability of openings for a 2 year old… the owner answered the phone with a very bad and rude attitude.
Due to availability I had to keep my child at this facility. My child went through over 12 teachers during my child’s stay. Most teachers constantly complained of how the facility was ran and I had caught more than one teacher yelling at students. Because they are privately owned they do as they wish. No emergency plans or tornado drills. Horrible bookkeeping and constantly being told I had past due balances which was incorrect. Once I had to take off work due to their poor bookkeeping bc they showed I owed a balance and my child could not stay until this was worked out. Not the best place for a child.
Absolutely hands down the worst place I have ever stepped foot in. My son stayed for 1 hour before I went and got him where I was approached by the director Vanessa whom was EXTREMELY rude and insisted I wasn’t given a code to get to my son because I didn’t make a payment. I dropped my son off first of all I had to ask if my son could sit in a bouncer to finish his bottle because the worker just told me to put his things in his cubby- which wasn’t a cubby it was a box that was super small. No one offered any help. When I asked her where I was supposed to make a payment (hoping to speak to a person in charge to get my paperwork) she pointed outside to a box. I was paying with a card so the box wasn’t an option. I wasn’t asked for any form of identification so when I left work to go check on him an hour after dropping him off I was let in the center and another worker literally pointed to the baby room where my son was. The daycare smelled like a wet dog to the point I was smelling my own son making sure our dog hadn’t licked him or something after I bathed him.??????????? If you go on their Facebook page I left a review in which the daycare owner and director both are firing back that they will defend their center even if it means being unprofessional. I am the lead nurse at a leading pediatrician offices over the mid south I work with children daily and have decided to take this further and report the daycare and in the midst I was informed this is not the first report received. Our local police department have many reports on the daycare also. Please, please research this daycare. I was told by a reliable source the daycare center Owner, Mary, was caught off camera by an employee whom still works with her (not a disgruntled employee) but she confided in me that Mary will pull kids off to the side and scream at them and I was also told they are thrown into closets and screamed at. A co worker of mine had her son enrolled and pulled him out due to some major issues with Mary. I am appalled this place is still in business and encourage everyone to simply tour the center and see for yourself.
