This provider has been in business a long time and does a wonderful job! Our kids usually do not want to leave at the end of the day!! Couldn’t ask for a better provider in the area.
We were at this center for about 3 months. The owner constantly told me about other children's behavior and other parents behavior. She would talk badly about parents and kids alike almost everyday. I can attest to the comment made by "Mama bear" even though I have never met her because the owner told me how she opened an investigation into them because they were "heavy handed" with their child and she wasn't taking her back after the investigation was closed. My child had an ER visit for falling off a chair within the first two weeks being there. The owner never seemed happy and always had a scowl or forced smile when picking up or dropping off. She talked badly about other daycare in the area and told me outright she only did art once a week because she had too but that she thought art projects and coloring was a waste of time. She then accused me of telling her how to run her business after I made a passing comment about the weather. I mentioned how it was hot (near 100's) and the kids may not be able to go outside much that week. She quipped that she would still bring the kids outside because she knew the law, that it was her business, not mine. I asked why she was getting so defensive and she said she and her husband agreed I was trying to tell her how to run her business. I told her my husband also agreed she was too defensive and that I had posted her comments through text on FB and my friends also agreed she was being defensive. She then told me I had two weeks to find a new daycare. The next day I texted thanking her for her offer but that I didn't need her services and we would not be bringing my child back. She replied that I still needed to pay her for the next two weeks even if we weren't coming. I quoted her contract which stated if she terminated service I was not responsible to pay. She replied that that only applied if given written notice which she had not done yet and then told me she would take me to court and her contract would hold up. I told her I assumed after giving me two weeks verbal notice she would have had it written up the next day and that I would gladly see her in court. I sent my husband to pick up our child's belongings and she laid into him, in front of the other kids there, about how we needed to pay her and how I made her child cry which I did not as I never even raised my voice in our conversation. He actually had to tell her it was not an appropriate conversation to have in front of the kids. After leaving, I heard from 3 other parents that they had similar issues there with her talking badly about parents and children to them and in front of other kids. There are plenty of other fantastic daycares in the area now so I would stay away from this one. The owner does not have great people skills from my experience
