Over the course of five years, our family has relied on Lettys Childcare for the care of our children, essentially considering her an extension of our family. Her services were not only sought during school breaks as a drop in but also throughout the majority of our children's early years. Until recently, we held the belief that our children were nurtured in a loving and caring environment.
However, a disagreement arose regarding Lettys' drop-in policy, shedding light on a lack of clearly defined terms. Unfortunately, assumptions led to a challenging situation when our son fell ill. The absence of negotiation options became apparent, and I acknowledge that assuming terms was a misstep on my part.
What became particularly disconcerting was the perceived lack of professionalism during this incident. When our son was unwell, the communication was limited, with a brief mention of him vomiting in the ball pit. When I proposed the potential use of the previously paid rate for a different drop-in session at a later date, Lettys declined. Regrettably, our attempts to discuss the matter further resulted in the termination of her services.
The hurtful aspect of this experience is realizing that someone we considered a trusted caregiver for over five years could seemingly write us off so abruptly. While Lettys excels in providing care to children, it is advisable for future clients to be cautious about communication and to ensure that all terms, especially relating to drop-ins, are explicitly discussed and documented in writing.
Update: when attempting to obtain our most recent contract I was met with obstacles as Letty had not only blocked me on all social media but also my phone number which poses another level of concern if I needed to get information about my children’s time with her.

I provide attentive care, help with all their milestones, getting them ready for daycare sleep routine, and providing a loving and calm environment where your child can develop their own personalities as a play base only daycare.
