The complaint also states the preK teachers were very apologetic but they did not know how the injury happened. LS spoke with the director in regards to this as the pre K teacher for this room was out. Per the director, management was informed of this incident at pickup when the grandmother inquired about the injury. The parent had not been contacted prior nor an incident report completed at the time of the incident. The teacher's also did not know how the injury occurred. The center's policy is to inform the parent and management when injuries happen but this was not the case. The director states immediately after this incident, a message was sent to staff and there was a staff meeting informing all staff that parents and management are to be made aware of when incidents occur and to fill out incident reports.

Per the director, all staff have been made aware of the playground procedures which require them to rotate sections to make sure they are able to see all of the children at all times and have been doing so. The program has not had any other playground incidents since this one.

We had a horrible experience with La Petite at GBMC.  My son was having behavioral issues and was asked to leave without any notice.  I walked in one day and they told me it was his last day.  The director and assistant director were both extremely unprofessional about this situation.  The teachers in his classroom completely gave up on him.  He has not any behavioral issues like the ones he was having at La Petite.  In fact, he has been a much happier and better behaved child since leaving.  I would not recommend this school to any family, especially those who have kids with any type of learning or educational disability.
