My wife and I just withdrew our son from this center after only three months of attendance. Our boy contracted the coxsackie virus twice within two months while attending, and the administration showed little to no concern whatsoever. At one point, over half the class was out sick with the virus or similar symptoms according to Rosa Guzman, the director at La Casita. Ms.Guzman refused to respond to my emails and ignored my suggestions to help clean up the classrooms to fight the spread of this virus. I guess they really aren't as interested in getting parents involved as they say. Instead, Ms. Guzman blamed it on the parents of other children bringing their sick kids to school, which I found ironic, because one of their teachers came to work sick as a dog for over a week. When I was finally able to reach the executive director, Darlene Cabrera, to discuss our concerns and notify her that our son was healthy enough to return to school, she implied she didn't care if we brought him back at all!
BE WARNED: If you are a parent who worries about your child's health and welfare, I strongly advise you to look for another facility. These people are more interested in taking your money than being bothered by your concerns.
FYI: As of the date of this posting, they still have not cleaned up the viral outbreak, and many children are still out sick!
