I am a parent on childcare subsidy, apparently there are additional copays and costs in addition to the subsidy that I was not informed of. My bill became higher and higher and Melissa and Angelica “did” what they could to accommodate my account. But it was a repeat process every month. Unfortunately, due to illness and cut hours at my job my finances were in a rumble and I was assured that everything was going to be okay, and was put on an unaffordable payment plan. I Could not keep up with the payment plan and they kicked my daughter out of the preschool program without advanced notice and the option to pay. Now I don’t have schooling for my four year old. I do believe that if we were not a black family that things would have been different. I was warned by other patents that this daycare will make is hard for families of color and I looked past it but now I’m really seeing it. There was a time where my son was told “that black people are bad people” by another student and they ignored it because the kid was leaving the summer program in a few days. After this treatment, I would not recommend this daycare to anyone of color or low income. The district manager was highly disrespectful to me and spoke to me as if I was a child that could not comprehend. I had to inform her that to her surprise black people can read and pay bills and that she is a heartless b-word for kicking a child out on the terms that she did.
