This facility has a license only as day care facility for the state of Texas not a TEA or CDC number as an accredited school. They use a homeschooling curriculm and try to convince you that your child will be able to transition easily from their "academy" program into a public school. Please do not believe this or do your research within your district. My son spent two years here only to find out that in a public school setting he would be going back a grade. They also do not have a good process implemented for injuries. My son broke his arm at the school and we were not notified until 30 minutes later when my sons father picked him up. He ended up having a break in his wrist and elbow, he ended up needing surgery. It took them two days to give us an injury report. When I went in person to get the report and they refused to give me one, Pastor Thomas threatened to call the cops on me if I returned to his campus. I had to email them state laws before I received an injury report from them. The owners claim they have high standard "Christian" values but they are far from Christian. They do not care about your children or God. They care only about your money and their appearances. Please do not buy into their show. Keep your child safe and away from this daycare.

This is such a shame that we had to leave. Our child had attended the school for a year, and at the start of the new school year, things took a turn! The teachers here are top-notch, and there is no doubt about that, but this review concerns the facility, and the directors that run it. If you are looking for a place that will put your child above other endeavors related to the Pastors, then this is NOT the place! They do not care if your child is eaten alive by mosquitoes in their outside play area, nor do they care about any behavioral issues occurring (i.e. not napping and waking other children, which affected how my child napped at home). No incident reports will be given (including when your child is left outside), and no daily reports are written. You will see different faces that are the front staff, none of which will tell you their role, or name, or if they are involved with the school and care of the children). A BEKA curriculum should be taught here, but we saw a decline in our child’s education from the start of summer.

It is my opinion that this facility is mainly intended for their parishioners, those who will not voice their concerns about the practices at the school, as to not upset their church leader. When your concerns are addressed with front staff, notice is NEVER given to Pastors. And when you address anything with Pastor K, she is “offended” that we would think anything other than what she thinks. Once the school year started, the Pastors attendance was very minimum, and they are definitely not present during drop-off/pick-up times. You can’t win here, either you are talked to by Pastor K (when she is there) because you spend too much time with your child in the morning, or you are talked too because you child is screaming when you leave.

You will be disrespected and treated as though you are a criminal when you withdraw you child!!! Pastor K tries to provoke you by shredding any letters given (without reading them), explaining the reason for you leaving, and threatens that “you will be paying the 2 weeks tuition for early withdraw”!

This facility is ran by a very unorganized, disrespectful, and downright nasty woman. It is such a shame that a church leader, a Pastor, someone who is spoken to by “God” would act in such a way. The reason why we didn’t leave sooner was because of the great teacher our child had!

I was not impressed with the teacher. Not enough structure. Pre-school is intended to transition the child from daycare to elementary. It is suppose to prepare them for the next phase in their life, hence the name pre-school. In daycare, the kids basically play all day. Pre-school is set up to began molding them into students. With that in mind, a four year old is still a four year old. I would get calls at work everything. Even things as small as my daughter saying no or sticking out her tongue. It was ridiculous.

In addition to the overwhelming number of phone calls, I feel my child was actually learning more at daycare than she was at school. I was told to work with my daughter on her vowels and consonants, which I did. I told the teacher that my child now knew the difference between the two. The teacher responded, my child was probably more advanced than her, since she had not been to school in years. That should have been my red flag, but I blew it off.

On a good note, I did like how they would make the children wash their hands prior to going into any classroom. My daughter did not get sick at all in the time she was there. The staff was very nice, just not trained to deal to handle preschoolers.

Kingdom Builders is a great place. My grandchild attends this center and each time we arrive she is excited to see her teacher. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff, owner and director. A high priority is given to ensuring that a positive nurturing, learning environment is in place. I also value that they teach Christian values. I highly recommend this center.

After having my child in this daycare for 2 years I had started looking around for another option as my child was not happy with all the changes in this establishment and Pastor K found out and at 5pm on a monday when I arrived to pick up my children she told me they were being kicked out effective immediately since I was unhappy. No notice what so ever. Very unprofessional and unnecessary. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone as long as she in control.
