The Nest Schools - Brecksville OH Licensed Child Care Center

I wanted to share my experience with being an employee for Le Chaperon Rouge in Brecksville. I must say I really loved my job and did my work whole heartily. I loved seeing the children and even their parents daily, I created a lot of relationships with them and also the other staff. However, the turn over with staff here is horrific. In the 4 years i was there we went thru 4 directors now 5 and numerous staff members. They hire people and just throw them into class rooms without proper training. They even "promote" without training. I was promoted to Director without training, after they terminated the former director while she was fighting for her life(than Stella had the nerve to ask me if i sabotaged the office for her position even though Stella and Cora both talked me into taking the position even though I didnt want it). I had to make an arrangement to go to the Hudson location so the director could show me how to do ACH otherwise she was going to talk me thru it over the phone. Yes Cora did show me how to do files but that was it. Darlene and Cora from regional came to "help" and all they did is redecorate the building and create a toxic enviroment by talking negative about parents and staff. They even laughed while making a word wall in Pre K 1 that reads queen quick quit. They are very quick to make poor decisions such as transitions, kicking children out, always splitting and combining classrooms. They run things as if the children are just stuffed animals on a shelf and in my opinion they do not care about the children if they are always splitting classes and combining rooms. The children need love, consistency, structure and stability! In my opinion they need to focus on what needs done now and not worry about what former staff is now doing. Stella also threatened me telling me she would give me a negative reference since I was leaving even though you can ask any parent or trustworthy staff member about me.

No SECURITY as far as could tell. Walked right in with 2 people and walked around looking in rooms for a few minutes before being noticed by girl in office. Infant room was understaffed and babies were all sick!!! Ugh! Did not appear that these babies were getting necessary care IMO. Not impressed. I really expected better since I've heard its 'the best'. Well this particular one in Brecksville gets a big fat thumbs down. Parents beware!

There are not many reviews about Brecksville center. I am glad others are sharing their comments. This helps not only customers but also businesses to retain clients. I used this location for more than a year. It is a good place in general. The quality of teachers varies enormously. Some are excellent, some are terrible. My girl is in Prek2. I received many sollicitations from her teacher who joined the center this summer 2015. First time, I didn't mind to offer her help, but this is becoming ridiculous lately. Every morning I am greeted with some of her personnal and family issues, from not having health coverage, looking for cheap housing, a ride to the center...enough is enough. My lo is not excited to go to her classroom as she did with her previous teacher. I feel awkward going to talk to the director. I hope other parents will speak up.

I just saw the reviews above. Brecksville location is clean, staff is kind but I think they need extra staff for babies as it is getting crowded there! Every baby from 6 wks to 18 months needs to be held and loved throughout the day not just infants. It is hard for teachers to do all that if short staffed! Meeting state Ratio is not enough. Ohio state Ration is bad comparing to others. I once met Moga the owner coming to visit the center, she seems nice and willing to work with parents.

The current director is condescending to parents, every conversation about tuition she treats you like you're trying to get out of paying something from day one which is absurd, her written communication skills are terrible, she refused to even speak with me about issues I was having, she seems to have zero early childhood experience, and she's just all around unprofessional with parents and staff.
This center is all about the bottom line and teachers are constantly playing musical chairs or being sent home. The staff morale is terrible.
Expect your child to be ignored until feeding time and even then they rarely hold them unless they are very young. They will not communicate to parents any issues like your baby crying all day long or needing more milk/food. There is no reading, guided play, etc. You will sign incident reports every month and never receive a copy. They are just babysitting in these rooms. I also never once saw hands being washed before meals.
I think the owner has no idea how bad it is here, at least in the infant/toddler rooms. There are far, far better options.

I visited Brecksville location before I decide enrolling my 2 little ones. There is plenty space for kids to run around. The director Lisa was nice and thorough during the tour. Rooms were clean but toys didn't seem to be cleaned daily! I felt comfortable with 3 and 4 year old teachers, they seemed kind and active with nice personality. I was not comfortable with baby room teacher. babies were lying in their cribs with their eyes open! I want to see them active if not sleeping! Crib is for sleep only. I like to see a tecaher engaged in singing, reading and interacting with babies. Talking to them, in a little group and stimulate their brain. Baby room teacher didn't have that fuzzy and playful personality. She didn't seem enjoying her job!
