TV as a babysitter in the morning and afternoon. Countless times that I have shown up to drop off and there were 7-10 toddlers under the care of a single teacher.
Don't expect accurate accounting and be ready for the director to start yelling if you contradict her.
After weeks of asking for a detailed statement of my son's ledger, the director gives me a statement showing the last two months only, when I asked for a complete statement she said that "I should have kept the last ones". Even so, what I found was disturbing, it turns out that there was an overpayment on our account. When I confronted the director about the discrepancies between accounting she explained them away as prepayments and old fees. When I asked why these "old fees" were not on the previous statements (which I had kept) she became hostile. Openly hostile. Screaming at me in front of my son, loud enough that the children upstairs could no doubt hear her. Needless to say, my son will not be going back and I am weighing options on the fraudulent accounting.
It was my son's last few weeks and after her display I cannot say I would be comfortable that she would not try to retaliate.
I encourage families to look elsewhere for childcare. There are numerous alternatives in the area including additional Montessori schools. Don't take chances on this one.
