Description: Juarez-Lincoln students are given numerous opportunities to develop and practice leadership skills. Students are involved in setting behavioral standards for the school on a committee with staff members. Students apply for responsibilities as Peace Patrol Leaders and support their peers in resolving conflicts on the playground. Students serve in leadership roles on the Student Council, Safety Patrol and GATE.
The major focus of student discipline is intervention and redirection. During the 2009-2010 school year a committee, IMAGINE, was formed. IMAGINE included representation from all stakeholders. A full review and updating of behavior expectations was completed. Bully prevention/intervention is now central to our discipline. Full implementaion began in the fourth quarter of the 09-10 school year and included special parent information presentations.
