My son and daughter both went to this program, and they loved it! I went one time to see what they did for the day and they do many STEM project which is the newest thing that helping many children understand science, math, technology project in a fun kinda like cat in the hat style learning which as a teacher from another that is great! My daughter and son loved the activities they do and they do use their words when they are hurt or sad because it enabled them to tell how they are feelings instead of hitting or stealing other kids toys.
Malone Head start is not a nice place. I know a child that is singled out from activities by the teacher because of being a bigger child. The teacher is mean to her and other students are too. When the teacher is approached she just laughed about it. It is sad that bullying for this poor kid is starting at a young age by teacher and classmates. They should have to be real teachers with consideration and feelings for the students.
Completely awful. The teachers don't present themselves well, they dress very casual including sweatpants. They force kids to "rest" in the dark with lullabys on so the kids fall asleep. They do not encourage different events for kids to do, they let them choose. My son is always playing with blocks. He never practices name writing or does crafts. If there is a child complaint in regards to another child, they make the child use their words, not report it to teachers. It's like the teachers are there to babysit, they don't have an actual job. it's a joke. If I could afford to pull my son out of the program, I would!
