Description:
Shepherd's Flock Home is a large licensed home childcare located in Duncan, OK. Our team specializes in childcare for children ages one month to eight years old. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe learning environment for your child, while encouraging social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. Your child will receive quality personal and individualized care in a warm and loving home, where they can feel safe and happy and can begin to build confidence and a positive self-image.
Our home is designed like a small center with large dedicated areas for the children to actively learn and play in; a stimulating environment with a spacious one room environment giving each child an exciting world full of opportunities to explore, learn, and grow. Furthermore, We maintain a low teacher to child ratio. Therefore, your child will receive the kind of close attention he or she deserves, nurturing a foundation for development and helping to enable your child to reach their full potential.
We have a fully fenced, child friendly play yard, equipped with fun and safe playing equipment. We provide well balanced nutritious meals and snacks to your child. For children of all ages we incorporate lots of fun activities into their daily schedule that include arts and crafts, free-play, structured-play, music, song and dance, painting, coloring, various creative and educational projects, and much more. Additionally, for children ages two through four, we offer an age appropriate preschool curriculum. Because of these points, we feel we are able to provide the best of both worlds (learning and fun, all in one).

Plan: I have never seen my staff members condone themselves in any manner other than loving nurturing caregivers. I have gone over with my staff regarding this complaint and we have reviewed our Licensing book and the proper way of using Behavior and Guidance. In our team meeting held on 9/26/2018 went over our procedure of Behavior and Guidance. Our procedure is the following: Step #1 Positive Redirection, Step #2 When Positive Redirection does not work Time out in cubby area will take place. Step #3 Parent Involvement: This step may involve calling parents and sending child home for the day or the parent calling child or making their presence and talking to the child about their current behavior. Step #4 (Last Resort) Jenifer Hood will go over Expulsion policy with Parent and Child if of age of understanding. We have all signed up for Conscious Discipline: 10 Steps to Positive Discipline. I have gone over this policy at length and believe my current staff have the understanding and are fully capable of providing a safe environment for my facility. |
Description: 1.) Behavior and Guidance: Using inappropriate discipline. | ||
