Where do I start....I brought my 3 y/o daughter to this daycare in Feb 2017 after a home daycare experience. When i initally inquired about the Academy i spoke to Mrs. Dennis (director) who stated they do viewings for the academy everyday after 6pm and at that time you will see the class and meet her teacher. The fee to start was $210..$135 wkly fee and $75 for her school book. When i came in for the viewing i met Mrs Dennis and she took me to a room and told me that they were a uniformed school (i never saw anyone else in uniforms) i was told my daughter would learn sign language, get homework everyday and much more. Fast forward to today..I have taken my daughter out of the academy because everything she has said has been a lie!! My daughter came home everyday with an empty backpack, after two weeks and nothing i started to ask questions, so they finally sent her home "homework" that was never taken out her backpack or checked, when i dropped her off at 7am every morning they were watching tv and when i picked her up in the afternoon the same (we even took her in late one day at 9am..they were stll watching tv), i never saw her classroom (her "classroom" is located in another building behind the main building) or book that i paid $75 for, she was never able to tell me what they learned but she was able to show me dances and recite lyrics from rap songs that we dont listen to, i was given the excuses that she never had homework because they were trying to catch her up (i still never saw any catch up work or other classwork) and that they were getting ready for graduatuion..(in March..really???), i also had the same experience as the previous reviewer where they are supposed to be open at 630 and get there at 7 and no one is insight (this happens quite frequently according to the other parents i was waiting with)when i called later to see if they were open i was told that i would hear from the director but i never did (thinking about it i havent seen her since beginning of April when they decided to "redecorate", never got a report sent home on how her day was, never got that catch up work, what she ate, nap time, potty time, didnt even get a report when she got hurt. I honestly feel like my daughter was just an extra $137 to them weekly (there is a $2 fee to pay) and now that im trying to get her things, they cant find them (what a coincidence..so unorganized). I became friends with a lady that daughter has been going there for a while and apparently i'm paying the same price as her daughter who is in the baby room and my daughter who is supposed to be in the pre k class (never complained about price and paid on time everytime) and also that the building in the back isnt in use. There is A LOT of miscommunication..i would be told one thing by the director and then when i speak to her teacher she has no idea what im talking about. Honestly if you want consistent, friendly and trustworthy service with your baby, PLEASE DONT GO HERE! Childtime is up the street for $15 more and they follow through.
