The place was messy, walked in and could hear teachers yelling at students . Many workers on their phones . The person giving me the tour was very rude And could give me very little information.
When I came in for my tour and walking around to all the different rooms, I seen plenty of the providers on their phones and not paying attention to the children what so ever. The kitchen was a absolute disaster and not taken care of at all! Do not recommend this place to anyone!
We attended this daycare at one point, but are no longer there due to management of the facility and an issue with child to teacher ratio.
Our child attended on a part-time basis and was in the toddler/(One's room). Our child was bitten 3 times in a three month period and again was only there part-time. Every time this happened I addressed the director and teachers and was given a standard line of this is typical for the age group. I feel if this is so typical then they need to have more teachers in that room, other than just the two they have to prevent this from happening.
I also did not feel the director was honest.
I would not recommend this daycare to anyone.
We attended this daycare and no longer go there as a result of infant care, ratio, and overall management of the facility.
Ratio was off many times and the director was not always honest with staff and/or parents. For instance, there were days one 17 year old was watching 9-12 toddlers by herself.
I felt that the staff that was eligible to work in the facility did a great job and the facility would be doing better if ran properly.
I would not recommend this daycare to anyone.
This daycare was a great discovery. They are a new company that took over this facility from a former operator that wasn't very good. These guys, however, are a great group of professionals, including early childhood teachers with college degrees! They are very conveniently located for my commute, easily gotten to from Harrison at I-80. It is clean, well run, and lives up to its name, "Happy Sprouts"!
