I have used this provider for less than 6 months
Carmel location: I’m never the type of person to leave bad reviews, but in this instance I have to because my kids deserve justice. My two children, 3 & 4, were attending this school for 4-5 month’s and were judged & discriminated against from the very beginning because they both are disabled due to developmental speech delays. I let them continue going because they had availability for both & that they “would try to work with them”. In the beginning the director (Ms. Denise) threatened to kick them out the first week because they weren’t “verbally communicating” or “adjusting”. So I had to get the ELC involved so that they could be “properly trained to facilitate disabled children” because they “lacked adequate experience”. Things settled down for a while, but my kids would often cry or are upset in the mornings when I dropped them off and I always wondered why. My daughter would come home 2-3x out if the week with soiled clothes, they constantly lost their belongings, occasionally had unreported cuts & sores, they developed boils on their bottoms from unsanitary bathrooms, etc. I can go on and on.. The school has great potential, but lacks structure, organization, and equality. The staff is poorly trained and they interchanged new employees every month. They expelled both of my children on the same day without prior notice because they were having a bad week. My daughter got expelled because she was having “uncontrollable temper tantrums and was being disruptive”. My son was collateral damage and was expelled because he “attempted to escape” which was a “safety concern”. All of that can be understandable, but to kick out two disabled children on the same day without prior warning and no prior incidents before that week hides a hidden agenda. My children were burdensome to them in the very beginning, but they only accepted them because by law they couldn’t deny them. They were too lazy to do their jobs and simply got tired of my children not fitting into their standards. They were waiting for any reason to get rid of my kids and they did. Ms. Denise couldn’t even show me documentation were she had the authority to expel them abruptly in that manner. She doesn’t know how to properly run a daycare, is very disorganized, & too lazy to do her job. So hopefully this is a warning to any parent who has disabled children, save the headache and please DO NOT send your kids here! Send them to a place where they’re loved, accepted, and treated equally no matter their differences.
