A peace of mind. This is what Dream angels daycare is for me as a parent. My child loves the care provider and the kids that attend. I love the fact that Mrs. Goshay really pays attention to the children and gives daily reports on the children. She works with them on reading comprehension, I have observed her working with potty training, and appropriate behavior with other kids. She also speaks to the kids in a very respectful and esteem building manner, which speaks volumes in my book. I often recommend her to parents looking for a great care provider.
I was very shocked after reading the review of previous parents S&J Ray. I have never observed any of those claims through the care of my child or anyone else's. The children all work on many skills at each particular child's level, this is important to Mrs. Goshay and other parents for added success. Mrs. Goshay takes her career and business of caring for children for seriously and will meet with parents & children to discuss any concerns, so the fact that the Ray parents state all of concerns weren't address is pure untruth and slander to state anything otherwise. Dream Angels Daycare is a step above all other daycares.
MrsCora Goshay is an excellent well experienced child care provider for infants and small children.Although I am not there during the day to monitor the care of my son I have not a single doubt that Mrs Cora is genuinely caring of him during his full-time hours of care. Everyday I feel Mrs Cora includes me on the learning pace and development of my child. Anytime there has been any medical issues with my child Mrs Cora has been excellent at informing me so that I could get him properly checked out by his pediatrician. Never once has Mrs Cora tried to self diagnosis my child. Like most providers if a virus of any sort arises she informs parents so that we are aware which as a parent I greatly appreciate it with that being said it further more makes me confident that Mrs Cora cares very much about the care she provides to children. Walking in on a daily basis she is welcoming and her business is a very well organized, clean andr safe environment for kids. I feel she actually takes in consideration the child's needs in and out side of home which plays a big part in child development also. I have never once witnessed nor have ever experienced any kind of disrespect from Mrs Cora she actually can place a smile on your face as a parent for the day with her pleasant and welcoming personality. Needless to say if you're looking for a wonderful provider Mrs.Cora gets my recommendation everytime without a single doubt.
Dream Angels is a wonderful home care center with a provider who is extremely mindful of your children's health, safety and well being. Ms Cora is very keen on making sure that not only does the well being of YOUR child come first but she does the same in making sure that we as parents are mindful of the other children she cares for. Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow when it comes to our children, but I appreciate the honesty that she gives. A home care provider is more than a glorified baby sitter, they are people not a corporation with individual needs of their own and I think there are some parents who forget that and try to get over because its not a large center with multiple employees, but the fact that it's a one on one care situation, you cannot get more personal care than that. Particularly when you have to trust someone other than family to care for your children. We have to trust them to be our eyes and ears when we are not around. I have witnessed the BAD behavior and inconsiderateness of other parents and Ms.Cora stands her ground for what is right. It's unfortunate that people cannot be honest with themselves and go out of their way to destroy another persons livelihood, especially when the care of your child is of the utmost importance. I more than appreciate that when it comes to my child's safety, health and care. I highly recommend Dream Angel's for your little angel! :)
I have known Mrs. Cora Goshay for years and I must say that she has to be one of the best in-home daycare providers I know. While in her care the children are cared for individually, fed well, they are safe, their happy, the environment is CLEAN, she works with them, and SPOILS them. I admire how she takes extra time to learn intricate details about the kids and each one of their personalities.
Every morning when I arrived with my son she was there available and ready to receive us. Not to mention how comfortable she made me feel and the freedom I had with her to communicate any concerns that I ever had about my son. She would pray with me and be as resourceful as she could, and I loved that about her. She took us personal and still conducted good business at the same time which you cannot find everywhere.
To the parents below S and J Ray, the fact that you made so much effort to have anyone look at her any different, or try to jeopardize her business is disgusting, vindictive, disrespectful, and shows how miserable you are personally. I am personally offended for her. This is slander! With potty training specifically I know for a fact she will work with your child but you have to do your part as a parent and be consistent.Like everyone else who works, we all get vacation time, bereavement, and sick time so don't be so unrealistic about her taking that time off when needed, she works hard everyday with our kids and deserves it. And FYI she's not a doctor nor does she claim to be so she couldn't misdiagnose them but I'm sure like everyone else she observed some things with your children and told you about them seeing shes was with them all day.I know one of the biggest things she does not tolerate is bringing your children to care sick. Sounds like you must have had a issue with that. Sick kids cause others to be sick and then care possibly has to close. You have to be considerate. Mrs Cora is a great Provider and in your review you were only honest about the fact that she took great care of your kids for a WHOLE year and a half. I'm sure your kids loved her. Maybe her motherly, nurturing, and personal care made you question yourself as a parent because your review is very personal. Hmm...
If your looking for great in-home childcare, Mrs. Cora is fantastic choice. I would and still do refer families to her.
My family utilized the services of Cora Goshay’s Dream Angels Childcare for a year and a half; I’d like to preface this review by stating that at no point did we ever feel that she was not taking complete care of our children. At the time we began using her services, we had just transitioned from a learning center and had to learn to appreciate the differences of expectations between an in-home provider vs a larger scaled learning facility.
In the contract, Cora states that she is allowed two weeks of vacation days throughout the year. This is a completely understandable request, please note that the two weeks are not in business days but calendar which translates to fourteen days of closure expected specifically for leisure. Above and beyond vacation there will be the potential for sick days, bereavement, and any other situation that may occur. Additionally, there were times where we would come to pick up our children and she would not be there leaving her husband, a friend or family member there with them without communicating that to the parents in advance.
We were advised that we would get a monthly newsletter of what our children were working on in order to provide supplemental assistance at home, ensuring that our children were truly being developed. That happened once in over a year. Our toddler was potty training, after ONE week in a center she has been successfully transitioned with the help of their services, because Cora advised us that she would only work with them if they “prompted” her that they needed to use the restroom. (That would make them trained already) As I had premature twins their development was always a concern, but by working with them at home we were able to keep them up with milestones. My observations were that they were consistently confined to a bassinet and not taking the time necessary to work with them while in Cora’s care.
The main driver of our differences was that Mrs. Goshay consistently misdiagnosed our children with medical concerns that didn’t materialize upon further review from their pediatrician. As a CNA, we communicated on several occasions that we understood and appreciated her concerns but as parents were left ultimately to review the symptoms of our children and make the necessary decisions for them. There was an instance where our twin daughters had a rash around their mouths (driven by a known change of scented wipes that had been used against their sensitive skin) and she communicated to another parent that our children had hand-foot-and-mouth disease and transmitted it to others without any true evidence. Upon discussing this concern with our pediatrician, we were aligned that the communicated diagnosis didn’t appear to be true.
Throughout our time with Mrs. Goshay, we had differences of opinions regarding specific expectations of services. There was a subtle level of disrespect between the owner and ourselves; this truly came to fruition upon us providing our notice of termination and receiving a less that ideal response from the owner.
