About the Provider
First Steps has a 50-year history of providing individualized education, child development, and therapy to children in the Nashville community, including those who have been turned away from other programs due to the severity of their health issues, medical needs or limited resources.
Additional Information:
Through developmental assessments, flexible curriculum and low teacher/student ratios, our children receive individualized instruction based on their needs.
At the same time, First Steps creates an inclusive learning environment. Children with disabilities share the classroom with typically developing children, and each group learns from and appreciates the other.
The McWhorter Family Children’s Center at First Steps is the perfect atmosphere for learning and growth. Specifically designed for early childhood education, the center features large classrooms, fun themes and spacious indoor and outdoor play areas.
