I have used this provider for more than 6 months
I don't know what experience the other commenter below had but ours was overwhelmingly positive. The teachers pay a lot of personal attention to the kids, we never had an issue with the facilities, and we never heard mention of a church in the two years we used their services. We used an aftercare service and the school doors were always locked. The operation is small and we liked the teachers. Bonnie never lost my checks, in fact she was very gracious and patient about me remembering to bring one to her (though I wish we'd move to online payment!) Everyone is closed for Covid-19 as of this writing but I stumbled upon this looking for their Tax ID and I'm sorry that some people are going to get the other review as their only information about this company.
As a current employee of First Impressions, I would like to address some of the accusations the previous poster brought up about the time her child spent at our daycare over the past two years.
Staff members wear comfortable and casual yet appropriate clothing- such as shorts and T-shirt- as we are active throughout the day by participating in indoor and outdoor activities as well as arts and crafts.
We have had an air conditioning unit in our classroom all summer. We recently had a second air conditioning unit installed as well. Kids are often cool enough that they choose to wear their blankets in the classroom. In addition to spending time outside daily, we go to the pool 3-4 times per week.
As for charged days off, this is a standard practice with child care centers. During the 2015-16 school year, parents were charged for six days when the daycare was closed. However, it's worth noting that the daycare provided additional hours of care during Paynter Elementary's six early dismissals for no additional charge. Similarly, the daycare provides additional care for no additional charge when Paynter has two hour delays.
While one employee has a professional teaching certificate, all other employees have extensive experience working with children and meet the regulations necessary in order to work in a child care center.
Tables are disinfected at least 4 times per day- after breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. Floors are swept at least once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Floors are mopped multiple times throughout the week.
Finally, in the years that I have worked at First Impressions, the owner has only once had a child be picked up mid-day. This was done to to ensure the safety of all of our children.
I would not put my dog in the care of this daycare let alone a child. Very dirty. Staff members are late. Staff member wears extremely inappropriate shorts to work in which her girly parts are hanging out. Owner is scatter brain. Lost so many of our checks and then she claims you are late. Kids are stuck in an extremely hot room in the summer with no a/c. You have to pay for days there are no school but the daycare is closed. Owner is very unprofessional. She has it in her head that everyone needs her. Owner picks on certain kids it seemed like and bullied the parents. Only 1 person has certifications working with children. Building is not secure. Anyone can walk in and take your child. They don't clean and disinfect the mats, tables, toys, basically the whole area. Owner feels the need to shove her husband church down your throat. Owner calls you constantly yelling when kids are being kids and she can't handle it to come get your kid. This has been one of the worst childcare providers I ever trusted with my children. I'm glad I pulled them both out.
