Description: North Shore Early Childcare Center (“NSECC”) is a 501c3 not for profit organization, governed by a volunteer, board of directors that was established in 1994 that provides early child care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. NSECC is licensed by New York State Office of Children & Family Services. NSECC offers a safe, nurturing and dependable environment where children’s and physical growth are a priority. The Center implements the award-winning, Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies. This program is designed to align essential early childhood learning standards. It features a rich collection of knowledge-building and daily practice resource. The curriculum offers detailed day-to-day guidance, individualized learning experiences, 38 research-based objectives, and exploration and discovery as a way of learning. In addition to the curriculum, the Center provides age appropriate additional electives such as Mandarin, Spanish, Science, Art, Music with Mat Marshak, Literacy, Sports Unlimited and the FUN BUS. A summer program is available for graduating pre-kindergarteners and school age children. NSECC is a year round program, with the exception of center holidays which are listed on the holiday tab. Our hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. We provide nutritious breakfast, lunch and snacks in a nut-free environment.
