Finnigan Family Daycare was established in 1989 as a result of not being able to find quality daycare for my own children. I continue to provide care today because I truly love what I do and care about the children I serve.
I believe children should be treated with love, respect and patience. Love and kindness shown (regardless of behavior, temperatment, ability or inability) teaches a child that they are important and valued as an individual. A child that lives with love, respect, kindness and patience, I believe , develops self esteem, self-worth and respect and consideration for those in their own community- as small as that might be. I believe in teachable moments, when work and play can come together in order to provide the most impact on a learning experience. Children are to be loved and nurtured, not hurt or ignored. I believe patience in response to behavior teaches a child tolerance and a willingness to accept change and disappointment in a positive way. I will give your child all the love and respect I can in order for them to receive the best benefit of their childcare experience.
Provider First Licensed on 3/30/1989. Current License in effect since April 2011. CPR/First aid current. Ongoing education. Preschool curriculum provided during school year.

I found Karan and Finnigan Family Daycare after trying a couple of other home daycare situations. I feel truly blessed that I found her. She watch my two kids for nearly 15 years. Not only did I feel confident that they were in a safe, loving home, but the activities and learning opportunities they received helped them to start preschool and kindergarten with great skills already in place. Her patience and caring with all of her kids is beyond amazing. My kids loved to be there. It became an extended family for us. Love the Finnigan Family Daycare ??
Karan Finnigan was our daughters' daycare provider from the time they were infants until they were old enough to be at home on their own. We couldn't have asked for a more loving and caring environment. Karan treated our daughters as though they were family, and that her home was their home. Both of our girls learned a great deal from Karan, especially when it came to getting ready for school. She reinforced the love of learning, and helped our girls to interact and play with others. We feel truly blessed that we found a provider that loved and cared for our girls and opened her home to them. We knew we wanted an in-home daycare provider that could devote the time and attention to make our girls feel loved and welcomed - we feel confident this was accomplished while they were with Karan. She is a wonderful and loving woman and we feel very fortunate we found her. Any family looking for daycare would be very lucky to have her as their provider.
I have known Karan my whole life, with my sister and I both going to her home daycare for our entire childhood. Her daycare was like a second home, and she treats every child like they're her own. She is truly one of the kindest, most warm-hearted, and selfless people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She became like a second mother to my sister and I while we were in her care, and she provided such a safe and nurturing environment for all the children. I was also lucky enough to work with her as a daycare assistant for a few years in college, and I loved every minute of it. She has saint-like patience, and it was such a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow over the course of my time working for her. She has such a passion for what she does, and this is evident in the care she provides and the love and understanding she gives to every child in her care. Karan is like family, and I feel truly blessed that my parents found her daycare and she came into my life.
