The Feather River Recreation & Park District’s Child Development Center offers a variety of childcare options to meet your family’s needs. We provide care for toddlers (18-30 months) and preschoolers (2-5 years). Potty training is something we work on and is not a requirement for your child to enroll. We transport children from most of the Oroville area schools as part of our After School Program (free of charge). We also have a core preschool only program beginning with Toddlers and following through Pre-K. It is intended for families who would like their child to experience developmentally appropriate preschool activities and to have interactions with children their own age, but do not need a full day of care. Children who attend a full day also receive the core preschool as part of their preschool/ childcare experience. All of our programs offer kinder-gymnastics as well as an educational and creative environment which enable children to learn through hands-on experiences. We provide a comprehensive early childhood education program which incorporates the Zoo Phonics curriculum (all of our teachers have been professionally trained in Zoo Phonics). Come see for yourself! We encourage parents to bring their child in to experience our center before enrollment!
