My son was in this school for 2 years, he had a good experience until we ran into a situation when he told me “THE TEACHER HIT ME WITH A CHAIR”, he was 3-years old when attending the school. First I thought it might have been an accident, but he still insisted that I spoke to the teacher to apologize to him because it was not an accident. I brought it up to the administrator, she stated she saw a week’s worth of videos and did not find any evidence. I’m glad we insisted on seeing the videos, which even took a few days to arrange. When viewing the videos not only was my child being mistreated and abused but so were other kids in his classroom. I brought it up to the attention of the administrator regarding the situations that didn’t involve my child, but she commented she would only speak to me regarding my son’s situation. I understand because they were not my child but they were still being forcefully restrained being in a time chair that was horrific to witness. Also, during nap time my son mentioned the teacher would hit his head and arm hard to wake him up from his nap which also witnessed with other children in the video. Long story short this became a DCF case due to finding evidence via videos that my child and other children were being mistreated.
I strongly advise anyone to stay away from this school. I was fortunate that my child was able to communicate, express his feelings and that we insisted on seeing the videos for proof. The administrator attempted to turn the story around and say he is a child and may not be saying the truth. The teacher remained in the class as if nothing happened and of course I had to remove my child from this unsafe and abusive school. Teacher’s come and go, but the fact that the administrator and principal of the school did not protect the students is my concern for other children attending the school. Unfortunately, it has not even been a year and my son has been severely traumatized to be in any school environment and it is why as a mother I am posting my story.
