Description: The Early Learning Center is designed to give children an environment for growth unmatched by traditional preschools in the metroplex. An extraordinary teacher/child ratio ensures the kind of personal attention that encourages achievement and growth. I am a former Kindergarten teacher with a Master's degree in Early childhood education.
With my first son, I never sent him to PreK because he loved being home with me and I knew I could teach him the necessary prerequisite skills. That plan worked fine.
My middle daughter craved more outside interaction, and when I moved to Plano I stumbled on this program. It was incredibly affordable so I figured why not try it?
She absolutely loved and thrived in the 3 year old program. As they mentioned, the teacher ratio is incredible- it's full of teenagers who want to pursue working with children and who are genuinely excited to be there with your little ones each day.
This allows them to do so many activities that aren't possible in a traditional setting. The teenagers bring share their fun extra curricular activities such as dance, instruments, etc. There are lots of affordable field trips with so many chaperones that my daughter got carried around much of the time, haha!
There is a focus on learning to the routines of school and how to love learning, rather than rote academics. And I think that's how it should be.
My daughter will be attending the 4 year old program next year. It's 3.5 days, and I was hesitant initially because I feel like that's a lot of time away, but she loves it so much that she's definitely won't be missing me!
Highly, highly, highly recommend!
