Description:
Desert Edge Childcare is a small private state licensed daycare center located in historic Santa Clara Utah. We are located next door to our sister company Desert Edge Montessori.
Desert Edge Childcare is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Desert Edge Childcare is fully licensed by the state and enrolls children ages 2 and up in full time childcare. Because we are a small intimate childcare center, we only enroll students seeking care for a minimum of at least 3 days of the week. This is to help us maintain a consistent and steady classroom environment and routine for all children in care.
Desert Edge Childcare does not participate in a food program and requires that all children bring their own lunch from home daily. This will accommodate children who have special dietary restrictions or guidelines such as GMO restrictions, dairy intolerances/allergies, vegetarian needs etc. We want families to have a say in what your child eats-whether they require it for health or are just a "picky eater". Bring foods they will eat.
The center will provide 3 healthy snacks each day and ask that our students take a turn bringing in the morning snack on a rotating basis. This will be your students spotlight week and their turn to be a snack leader. The staff will help provide ideas and assistance to families who need it to fulfill this requirement. Our afternoon snack and evening snack are provided by the center and all snacks are posted in our center where families sign their student in, for the week. If you see something your student won't eat-feel free to bring in replacement snacks that day.
Children enrolled in our childcare/daycare center will participate in a Montessori preschool program at no additional charge to tuition and it is not required that they be toilet trained when they begin.
All staff members that come into direct contact with our students are fully licensed, passed a criminal background check and have been fingerprinted in the state of Utah. All teachers and staff have been pre-trained in a variety of topics including how to prevent and report, abuse, CPR and first aid, Safe sleeping habits for children etc. We believe in student safety and in providing only the highest quality of care, in addition to annual pre-employment and post employment training our staff maintain, all of our teachers sign teaching contracts for one full calendar year-in order for us to try our best at providing a consistent and reliable teaching staff to our students and their families.
Rates and Tuition:
At Desert Edge Childcare your students tuition is a flat monthly rate. We find this to be more consistent and dependable to the families we serve. Tuition is always due on the first of the month and will need to be paid at drop off.
Currently we offer 4 enrollment options for families to choose from and rates are not determined by the age of your child. They are fair and consistent for all students.
Enrollment Package 1 Student Arrives at 7:30 AM Student is Picked Up at 5:30 PM Cost for Option 1 Per Student: $600 per month
Enrollment Package 2 Student Arrives at 8:30 to 9:00 AM Student is Picked Up at 5:00 PM Cost for Option 2 Per Student: $550 per month
Enrollment Package 3 Student Arrives at 9:00 AM Student is Picked Up at 3:15 PM Cost for Option 3 Per Student: $500 per month
Enrollment Package 4 Student Arrives at 8:30 to 9:00 AM Student is Picked Up at 5:00 PM Student only attends 3 days per week Cost for Option 4 Per Student: $500 per month

Our daughter was incredibly terrified of this place. She had major regression only after a couple of weeks of attendance. She began wetting the bed, she peed her panties twice while at school (hasn't happened since, hadn't happened prior), she began babbling and cooing like a baby, she would scream "NO!" in the middle of the night. We are feeling incredibly guilty for having dropped her off each and every day to a place that absolutely traumatized her. We've attended play therapy since. She cries about the teachers putting her in time out, big boys kicking her in the butt, boys hitting her, she says they would yell at her. She was tiny when she attended and could barely verbalize these things. She is now 4.5yrs and can talk openly. She is able to now tell us what happened. We would never recommend AnnaLee T. 's child care/education centers. I believe she owns many.
My son has been attending here for over a year and in that time we have seen nothing but excellent care. we love this staff and this center and won't be taking my son anywhere else.
My 2 children starting attending this daycare last year. We love it! Not only is there a stable and loving staff, my children adore their teachers and have been excited to go each day! I love that they come home each day and have something new they have learned about. I also appreciate their center AP that keeps me informed about stuff going on in the classroom. I love Annie (the director) and my girls will attend here as long as they can! I highly recommend this place!
My children attended this child care for 6 days and then they were kicked out, in those 6 days my children came home crying every day saying the teachers are mean and treated them horribly. My oldest son claimed the teacher twisted his arm and through his water bottle away, he was very upset and so was I because you never lay a hand on my child. Then 2 days later my middle child age four comes up to me saying teacher spanked him after that i was fuming a 4 yrold doesnt just say that unless it happenedI confronted the teacher/owner/director about it anf she claimed that nothing like that ever happened i asked her to let me view the cameras in proof that she did not lay a hand on my child and she refused to let me. I signed a form stating they were allowed to have video surveillance on my children i think as my right as the parent i should be able to view that camera if i feel my child was being abused. After that it went down hill from there they were accusing my children for harming other kids but they didnt have there stories straight when i asked them about it. They day they kicked my children out my husband went and picked them uo and they had my children locked in a secluded room away from everyone one of the staff members claimed my 4 year old son bit him my husband viewed the nite and it was clearly a grown adult bite and it was just an excuse to kick my children out. I was very upset with this facility they treated my children very poorly, i felt terrible for making my kids go to a facility that they should have been able to feel safe but they did not and felt like they were going to be emotionally physically or verbally attacked this place should not be open and should be shut down.
