I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I feel like I need to write an honest review and WARN people about this lady (Ana).
My baby started daycare with her when he was about 9 months and just recently left at the age of 12 months.
I additionally wanted to add that I used to be a pre-school teacher and I KNOW how daycares should be ran or followed
Ana is insane. She has EXTREME high expectations and not in a healthy or good way, but in a psycho way. She would literally have full on 2 hour dicusssions and complain about my son not holding his own bottle, not holding a fork or spoon yet (wtf), not being fully to sleep by himself etc. It gets me so angry just even typing this but HELLO? HES JUST A BABY AND ALL CHILDREN HAVE THEIR OWN TIMELINES AND EVERY CHILD DEVELOPS AT THEIR OWN PACE. Ana is extremely toxic, annoying, bored, and crazy. She makes up problems in her head that aren't really problems. She will refer your child for evaluations if she thinks they are developmentally "off or behind". My son's peditrician, physical therapist and occupational therapist all said my son is PERFECTLY FINE and was confused as to why this daycare lady would even mention things like this. She would literally tell me "omg we need to talk. do you have time to talk?!" I would panic thinking something terrible happened or some sort of emergency happened so I would come to the day care EARLY from work only for her to complain about my INFANT SON not being able to hold a spoon and feed himself at 10 months old. I would CRY IN MY CAR after picking him up out of frustration MANY TIMES because of how crappy she would make my feel. I have also met other parents at the same daycare complain about the same things and explaining to me in how they cant stand her and as soon as another opening opens up somewhere else, they were will take their child out of this daycare and into a new one (what we did).
The constant stress, anxiety, depression she had caused me was NOT WORTH IT. If you're looking for a daycare that will follow YOUR needs, YOUR schedule, YOUR recommendations, YOUR preferences when it comes to YOUR OWN CHILD, this is NOT the daycare for you.

Altogether :
1. Ana wants things EASY for herself as possible. Thats what our peditrician mentioned and thinks also. Ana wants as LESS work for herself as possible if that makes sense. She doesnt want to hold bottles for babies, feed children, put them to sleep etc. She even mentioned to me "I dont like putting babies to sleep because my back hurts"
2. This daycare will NOT follow your convenience or schedule. Its Ana's way or NO way. She told me that she wants her schedule followed at home including all routines and activties
3. She has a rude tone to her voice which I dont like. Im not sure if its just a cultural thing but it comes off extremely rude and cold also
4. Ana will brainwash you, harass you, control you, and will try to control your child with the explanation of because she "just cares a lot and knows whats best".
5. She has no respect for different parenting styles. Again, her way or no way. Shes VERY stuck in her ways
6. One positive thing I can say is that shes very clean and organized. Her daycare is always spotless but don't let this fool the hell you're about to enter
7. My son is at a new daycare now and I found out 3 of his classmates are from Ana's daycare. Their parents have complained about the same thing and relieved they left
8. Ana reduced my son's formula to 5 ounces from 8 OUNCES WITHOUT LETTING ME KNOW!! She said she thought it was best. No words.
9. Anytime I picked up my son earlier or later in the day, his diaper was ALWAYS EXTREMELY FULL
10. She will always recommend whats best and then get angry at you when you don't follow her instructions. She literally wants to be the parent of your kid. RED FLAG

Ana you are NOT a peditrician, behavioral interventionist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, nutritionist etc. GET OVER YOURSELF!!!!!

I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

I have never seen someone care so much for their customers. Ana goes above and beyond to take care of the kids. She spends her time off thinking about the kids, shopping for them, and planning lessons.

Ana has a personal touch and spends countless hours with the children. She often sees things that parents don't. If she sees something she will speak up. It always comes from a good place and she's generally right.

I've seen the love for the children first hand and I suggest you do the same.

There's truly not a better place you could send your kids to. The negative reviews were probably the 2 out of 200 people who didn't follow the rules and got upset. If you want a true picture of Delmar Childcare, ask the hundreds of happy parents and kids who graduate from her Childcare. Or, take a tour during mother's day and see all the flowers the kids and parents bring to Ana.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Came to this site to write a review after my youngest child "graduated daycare", and I'm honestly shocked by the reviews below.
One doesn't even make sense, and the other one does not describe Ms. Ana at all.

All of my kids attended Ms. Ana's daycare before they moved on to "big kid school". Through the years she became an extension of our family, and I can't imagine taking my kids to any other place or have them under the care of any other person.
Ms. Ana not only provided a place for my kids to spend the day while my husband and I were at work. She gave them a place where I know they felt at home.
With my first child, as a first time mom I was skeptical, but within a couple of weeks I knew I had found someone who would care for my baby the way I did which was extremely important to me. As she cared for my only baby at the time, she always took the time to explain things out and teach me all sorts of mom hacks (which came in useful with the next two..).
Every time I would come pick up my kids they would be engaged in some sort of activity. All three left the daycare reading basic words and speaking both, English and Spanish.
Ms. Ana was always quick to let me know if there was something we needed to work on as a team, and she was always there to even attend recitals and games as my kids moved on to different schools. I'll always be thankful to her.
The most important part to me was to see the way my kids loved her. The oldest ones would get excited every time we would go to "Ana's" to pick up my little one.
Her love for my children was genuine and you could just see it and feel it.
My family and I will always be grateful for who she was to my kids as they were growing up, and who she continues to be to our family.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Worse experience ever. Once I saw her mistreating her 90yo father and how she behaved with her family members that sent me and my family a clear warning we should not trust her with our own child, and did not want my child to see that kind of behaviour. Just beware.

Disappointed Mom Jan 01, 2016
I have used this provider for less than 6 months

This daycare was referred to me by a friend. From the beginning there was poor communication with the owner. She would send pictures and videos to my friend, with updates but nothing to me. Being a first time mom I thought maybe I was being hyper sensitive. Well turns out if your child is vocal and happens to throw a tantrum now and then. Tell me how many 1 yr olds you know that don't. She will kick your child out of her daycare. A word to the wise is to make sure you keep your contract that you sign with her near your bedside and memorize it because she will not remind you of different schedules, but instead expect you to remember along with the other 100 things on your mind! She will just refer you to "its in the contract" if you forget and charge you for the difference! My child is a happy one who plays and just doesn't like to be changed, but apparently too much For her neighbor. If you're tempted by this daycare's cheaper prices, just know that there are other daycares in Simi Valley that are affordable and who seem to genuinely care for ALL their children. Shame shame!
