I never wanted my kids in daycare. I did my research, went to about 15 different daycares in the city and David' Stars is really the star. The kids do have a small space for the infants but they are infants, they dont need too much space, they need love, attention, a schedule, home made food nutritious food, love, play time inside and outside everyday and love!! They provide this to my little girl who is all smiles with her caretakers. My 2 year old is upstairs where he has much more space to run, walk, create, play, socialize, eat, sleep and be happy. the kids there you can see are well loved, adjusted, kind and sweet. They speak all Spanish so they are learning a language, they learn to share, to express themselves through arts and drama. they have parent conferences and multicultural parties. It is never leaving your kids in a day care but this one really put my anxiety to rest because I know that they are well looked after and loved.
This day care is way too pricy for what they really have to offer. Infants and toddler stay in a basement and have not that much space to live in. The same room is used to play, eat and sleep which makes a total confusion for these 12 kids. The teachers are very affectionate and caring but they are not well organized in handling their duties. They are too busy in managing the general crisis in the room and have no time left to really engage the kids into something educational. When not crying, kids are left wondering on their own across the room. It has a lot to do with the fact that the space is narrow and opens up for way too much confusion. Our baby has entered the program has adapted quickly but I am thinking of pulling her off for something better.
