My son started at this home daycare at 6 months. I was nursing him and was a first time mom. Christy is extremely knowledgable, kind, sincere and my son is better in all ways because of her and her care. Her business is well above board and I trust her with my child and have called her for advice. She teaches the children sign language from the beginning. My son could sign his needs and he is an excellent communicator. She is full of structure. Only beginning to name my favorite parts: schedules and structure, home cooked, semi-organic cooked food, hands on learning, kids gardening, outside play most of the day, teaching manners, responsibility, kindness to others, her passion for the kids learning and her genuine love for them. She has fresh eggs from her chickens for breakfast meals. I trust her completely and love how well mannered my son is. She has incorporated manners in all areas. She and her staff speak to the children as adults in stead of baby talk. That's huge! My son speaks extremely clear from 2years on. As soon as he could mutter words, she taught him to say "may I be excused please". My son is now 4 and he is able to count to 100. He can sound out and read some first words in books. He can comprehend meanings of words and SHAPES!! Holy moly at 2.5 he was telling me shapes like rhombus! They focus on helpful memory tools and make it fun! He was naming all the continents at 2.5 years old. When people compliment my son, I joke that I blame daycare. I truly admire the home daycare and hope my review was helpful.
