Description: Here at Vista del Valle we read and write a lot. We look for every way to integrate science and mathematics, and social studies and the language arts. We want our students to have power over language and pride in all they claim as a cultural heritage. We fight to never neglect the arts as a powerful form of self-expression and a means to put forth one’s individuality. Our outdoor teaching areas give students a chance to care for fruit trees, plant raised beds, no-dig gardens, and practice citizenship and urban planning in Roxaboxen.
