First I want to acknowledge that Natalie did me a favor by temporarily supervising my daughter to which I’m grateful. However, I’m sincerely disappointed it needed on such a bad note. This was my first experience with childcare and it was a nightmare. If I could give “Lil Stars” zero stars I would. First: She didn’t put sunscreen or a hat on my daughter when they went outside. Secondly, she came home in different diapers, even though I provided over 100 for her use. Third, my daughter wasn’t even there a full week and got sick from the other kids because other parents sent their kids to daycare sick, during COVID no less. Fourth, no updates were provided on the Brightstart app last Friday. I only got an update because I requested it via text. Fifth, the carpet in the playroom is filthy and needs to be replaced or at the very least deep cleaned. Lastly, and perhaps the most egregious offense was picking my daughter up today and seeing she was visibly upset. Upon immediately holding her I could feel how cold she was, she was as cold as an ice cube. This was completely avoidable as I had provided several changes in clothing in her care bag. When I asked why she was so cold, I was met with hostility from the owner. I took photos of my baby’s legs where you can see the “molted skin” and the blue veins from how cold she was. After expressing my concern for this negligence, Natalie responded that she was “too busy” to put adequate clothes on my daughter. Additionally, Natalie didn’t apologize or take any accountability. When it became evident that my daughter was not safe under her watch, I promptly removed her from this facility and asked for a refund for the rest of the week to which Natalie refused. Natalie wouldn’t let me retrieve my daughter’s things either. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Please see the attached photos of the owner’s unprofessional responses and the photos of my daughter’s legs for reference. This review could have been avoided as I was willing to look past some of the small infractions but after Natalied called me “insane” when I requested a refund, this review is absolutely necessary. No mother should have to pay for this inadequate service. All of this happened in less than a month of care and this is only what I’m aware of. If you’re looking for childcare, this isn’t it. Natalie is unprofessional and negligent.
