Description: Located on the Highline Community College campus, Children’s Home Society of Washington’s Early Learning Center offers preschool, Early Head Start, Head Start and Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) programs. Children receive high-quality early learning in the areas of social and emotional development, cognitive and language skills, as well as creative arts, music, and exposure to a variety of cultures and languages. Trained professionals work individually and in group settings with your child to help them meet their developmental milestones and prepare them for success in school, and life.
The parent is recognized as the child's primary teacher, so we strive to keep parents involved in their child's development while encouraging parent/child interactions. On-site parent discussion rooms are available where educators and parents meet regularly to discuss the progress and needs of the child.
The center serves the surrounding community and is also available for the children of students, staff, and faculty at Highline Community College, and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

My son has been in the school over 2 years and loves it there. He has successfully graduated through the classrooms and adores all his teachers. He has developed and grown in his academic learning and social skills. The staff has been extremely flexible, understanding and caring in dealing with the irregular visitation that my son goes on. Any hardships that have come up due to it, his teachers and the staff have redoubled their efforts to work as a team with me to keep him on the right track. The administration and family advocates are amazing, always there asking how they can help and lending their support.
terrible. never a consistant face in the classroom. i have never had a child care center with so much instability. and on top of that, they took the wadlers out of their nice, spacious room and shoved them in a little room connected with the infants. so the infants have to listen to the loud waddlers all day! i asked the director about this, and she says the infants sleep through it. baloney! i spent quite a bit of time, over two hours a day for the first three months, in my guy's other center, because i was nursing him, and he wouldn't take a bottle. those babies would wake up over the gate clicking!
they also messed up on the medicine. this place is a mess. my son is a mess. he had just gotten used to the ladies and the room, and wasn't upset when i left, and now he's a wreck again when i leave. very disappointed.
