I dont remmeber having many issues with the facility except the fact they had a very strict schedule, they let someone take my childs carseat out of the facility that had her name clearly on it because her other oarent was comjng to pick her up, and when i was ready for my child to stop attending my two weeks notice was a day late and they wouldnt give me my deposit $250 thanks alor and they werent real understanding when it came to tuition they just wanted their money. The kids were outdoors in the rain no jackets if they did they werent zipped snotty nosed kids, i think there was scabies and hand foot and mouth going around Other than that it was ok my child seemed to like it never came home hurt or anything. They were money hungry and i didnt like that oh and the front desk lady was ALWAYS rude rude rude
This place is not what they say they are. High turn over rate, because of the way the owner Mickey Silvers treats the employees. The kids are miserable and there is always misunderstanding regarding tuition. This is just a front for a hell. This is not really a Christian school, far from it. They have no morals, no standards or code of ethics. My son was was in the 2 year old room for a short period of time; and the teacher MS Sonia was the longest teacher he had in a 2 month time. This teacher was always over ratio and over worked but she treated my son and all the other kids well. This school is horrible.
We've had our son in this daycare since he was 9 months. I was really apprehensive about daycares in general but I saw the great reviews about child's life academy and decided to give them a shot. I've been really happy with them so far. The employees are really nice and caring. The facility is clean and safe. I definitely recommend this daycare.
I can only say that my daughter loves this place she is very happy every time we leave her in the mornings and in the afternoons she never wants to leave that means that it happens.
First impression is last impression. From the first time I visited the facility the professionalism has been been the same, OUTSTANDING!! Love Aiesha she is awesome, she has a pleasant personality every time we drop our little one off.
My daughter has been going here since she was 6 months old, she is now 4. Her mother and I really appreciate the service and care this center provides. I would recommend it to all parents.
I absolutely love this daycare! I have two kids here. One is a newborn and the other is 3. The newborn teachers all treat my daughter as if she was their own. Ms. Clara is always holding her and I love it! They are all very professional and caring! They keep her clean and I always leave with a daily activity sheet which I love because it allows me be consistent with her feedings. I love my three year olds teacher! She brings in her own curriculum to further challenge the students. She s extremely knowledgeable about each kid and very passionate about her job. Everyone in this facility knows you and your kids by name and I love it. I love how I can drop them off whenever.
I thank God that I found this wonderful daycare. It is 24 hours and open on weekends. I love the fact that it is a Christian daycare! My 4 year old daughter has attended since she was 8 months old. She loves absolutely loves going! The staff is great, I love how they are always cleaning, and sanitizing. I would highly recommend this daycare!
I have a son that goes there and I am quite pleased. The teachers are knowledgeable and take good care of my son. They are watchful and attentive to my son's needs. I love that the place is clean and smells great. My son gets the attention he needs. He loves going there and I am glad that they do activities with my son. He gets changed every hour and has some independent play time. The place is near my job and is open for 24 hours.
I am happy to be a customer of this center! Child's Life Academy is a quality childcare provider. I appreciate the involvement of all the staff. They are very good about welcoming each child and parent each day at drop off and they assist the parents when picking up. Each day I receive a reflective report and good communication among the caregivers so that I remain informed about my child's needs & progress. A recent bad experience led us in search of another/ a better provider. For me, the simplicity, staff culture & location makes all the difference! My daughter and I are very comfortable with this choice.
I first visited the center and paid by the hour, I really love the way they included my daughter with the learning activities, I received a detailed report of her day as well as work she did during her stay. I was very impressed by center's cleanliness and the staff. I never experienced a 24hour center, it is ran very well.
My Child one of the most treasured things I have been blessed with in this life. With this blessing, I was also given another blessing; Child's Life Academy.
When I have to go to work or any other function requiring child care, I have peace of mind knowing my child is there in good hands. For those with unorthodox work hours, there is no need to worry about working around the hours of this center. Child's Life Academy operates 24 hours a day and is open almost everyday of the year. The rates and hours provided to you for your money cannot be beat.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and their communication with you regarding your child and what is going on at the Academy is excellent.
Most children are not fond of eating vegetables. Mine is thanks to the balanced meals that Child's Life Academy serves. The curriculum is also very good. Friends and family are always impressed with my child's ability to recite and recognize shapes, letters and numbers.
You will not regret choosing Child's Life Academy as a stop along the way during any day you may need them and also in the development of your child...Believe Me
My son has been attending Child's Life Academy for over 2 years. The facility is always very clean and the staff really take time to get to know the kids and parents. My son has learned so much over the years and loves his teachers. As a working mother with a schedule that changes from week to week this daycare has made it possible for me to raise my son in a warm and loving environment while I work long and late hours. Communication from the owner and staff is excellent.
I am a first time parent, and had to choose a daycare for my little girl at six weeks old. With all the horror stories that I have read online, my husband and I stressed over the decision on which daycare to choose from.
Yes, Child's Life Academy is extremely affordable; however, that isn't even the best part. Yes, they are open 24/7, and you don't have to worry like most parents at work picking up your child at exactly 5:00 PM. However, once again, that is not even the best part. Yes, they provide lesson plans and hourly updates to parents, and ALWAYS provides daily reports on your child; however, that is not even the best part. I could go on and on and on about all the great things Child's Life Academy provides for my child; however, the most important thing they provide for my child (besides safety) is love and care.
My Lily LOVES the employees at Child's Life Academy. Lily lights up when she sees Alison, Erica, Ms. T, and Ms. Mickey. I can take comfort while I am at work that she is being cared for on every level, and THAT is why you should choose to send your child to Child's Life Academy.
I've been using child's life Academy since moving to Atlanta in February. My son has definitely learned and has grown so much since attending the school. The teachers are awesome!! He learns something new everyday!!! I work retail, which means my hours are unpredictable...but they are able to work around my schedule on a weekly basis. Im so happy I was able to find a daycare that knows everyone on a one on one basis and that is flexible with my schedule.
This center is amazing! My daughter loves her teachers, environments and her friends. Being a single mother of two can be overwhelming at times but the schools flexible hour, certified teachers and trained staff really put me at ease to know my child is in good hands. The teachers teach hands on curriculum, send work home when my daughter is not at the school and it is a christian base school! The school is really clean and neat at all times.
Excellent Childcare Center, Professional Staff, Affordable Prices, and Excellent Hours... Keep up the good work Child's Life Academy.
[email protected] K., 12/15/2015 Beware of this sheep in wolves clothing daycare. If this is a CHRISTIAN daycare, I doubt that GOD visits there at all. We were lured into believing we had found an affordable and friendly, clean daycare for our 9 week old baby girl. We met the director and her son and after meeting them and talking to both extensively decided to enroll her. She ended up only being there for 4 days. On two of those days she was distraught when my daughter picked her up and her diapers were very wet and bulging with urine. She cried all the way home from the daycare. On the 4th day my daughters came to pick up our baby. They were greeted very coldly by the director. She spoke to them rudely and refused to look at them in the face. Our grandbaby was crying so loud and screaming when they went to get her. After my daughter got her things together, the director approached her and rudely said "your daughter can't come back tomorrow because her EARS ARE PERICED. If you don't take the earrings out, she can't come back. My daughter tried to explain to her the earrings were locked on so they could not be removed until the doctor who put them in checked her in 2 more months or the hole would close. The director said "well she can't come back" We had already paid for a full week and also a non refundable registration fee of $125.00. We got no money back for the day she was forced not to come back and the registration fee was just lost. We feel they did this on purpose as she had been there for 4 days before anything was said about her not returning. In addition to the Directors total change of behavior and demeanor. She acted like a WITCH and totally disrespected my daughter. She made no attempt to give us any refund. Luckily we found a wonderful daycare (private). It is safe and clean and our baby is CLEAN and SMILING!!! No more drama. I don't suggest anyone leave their precious loved one at this horrible place. They are not what they seem. BEWARE!!!! http://www.childslifeacademy.com/index.htm
This place serves junk food! Menu for lunch and dinner for the week: hamburgers, pizza, ham and cheese (prepackaged chemical filled sandwich meat with processed American cheese food on wonder bread) fish nuggets, spaghetti and chicken and rice.
The owner Ms Mickey said they make NO exceptions. No other healthy options, they will not make any substitutions or exclusions, and you are NOT ALLOWED to bring food in. If you are vegetarian or healthy or religious you are out of luck. They will not make any exceptions due to any reason unless there is a proven allergy with doctor's note and allergy test!
They served my daughter cookies and juice for snack. She had to ask for water and she was given unfiltered tap water from the sink. I asked the she NOT be served cows milk or juice (only water, but I assumed it was purified or filered, it is not) and the owner said NO they wouldn't do that. (Juice is FULL of sugar and cows milk is unhealthy for many reasons, do your research)
I am very disappointed in the reviews that claimed they serve healthy well balanced nutritious meals. THIS IS INACCURATE.
Not only is your child forced to eat it (due to no other options)but you are forced to pay $5 per meal And $2.50 per snack.
Please do not take your child here unless it is an emergency situation. It is so very sad that they feed all these children such nutrition deprived meals and have such strict policy eliminating any other possible options!
Love the center. My three kids attend and they love it. Center owner's main focus is child's safety. Center owner is very passionate and active with affairs. Can not beat the 24/7 model. As a parent the center acts as a built-in support system when it comes to helping with the childs. My children learn a lot from great teaching staff.
Child’s Life Academy is a beautiful day care center conveniently located in the heart of Sandy Springs. The hours of operation makes it a great choice for those working in the medical field, law enforcement, military, and other shift-type work where after hours care is needed. The staff is well-trained and love working with the kids. The curriculum is top notch. I would highly recommend this center.
This is a very good center!! They are well staffed, clean, and well-versed in Christian values. They have great availability of hours seeing how they are 24/7 and are in a confident location when we need to drop off our son. I am blessed to be at this center and have and will continue to recommend it to my friends!!
The reviews I've read on all these websites truly have me appalled, Child's Life Academy has truly changed my son's life. Before he started going there a year ago when he was about 4 years old, he had never attended a daycare before so I was extremely apprehensive about him & how he would do but at the time, I had no choice but to bring him to a daycare & I am so glad I brought him there. I toured the daycare sometime in November of 2012 & when I brought my son back in February of 2013, Ms.Cee remembered me. She and Ms.Mickey both have helped me numerous times through my hardships & I am forever grateful for that. Not to mention my son has changed so much he started going there, he's reading, can write & has a completely different attitude which I do not think would have happened had I not brought him there. I am going to miss this place when he starts school in August.
Too many teacher turnovers. Not good for consistency. The flexible schedule of being open 24/7 and holidays are extremely helpful for working parents of all kinds of work-day and night. My child is engaged in the several activities that are provided and enjoys.
We all know you did not leave voluntarily but the staff had had enough of your nasty attitude and just as nasty a mouth as evidenced by your command of filthy language in your comment. You were told to leave and never return. God help Children's Friend. I'm sure you won't last long there either.
It's easy for someone to write a nasty review while they coward behind an anonymous name. It's also just as easy to make up a pile of lies as you have. You needed Child's Life Academy but they could not tolerate you any longer. Anyone interested in this center should come see for themselves. There is nothing out of date here, meals are very nutritious, staff is wonderful and it is a beautiful Christian center. Something I fear you know nothing about but all of the staff will include you in their prayer list.
We all wish you the best.
Where to start... If you value your childs educational start, then do not allow them to attend this out of date child care center. Their teacher turn over rate is ridiculous and your child will never get used to a teacher because they have new ones every two weeks. No lie! This is tramatic for young impressionable minds. Also the food is not very nurishing most of the time being high in starch type foods. My son is always crying for food when I pick him up. They are the cheapest in the area and the saying " you get what you pay for" is oh so true in this case. I blame the high turnover rate of teacher on the harsh treatment from the owner and her uncle tom assistant (light skinned one with the glasses at the front desk) I would never work for such b****s as these women are. In one instant I was even offended by them verbally chastising one of the new girls. It reminded me of a third world labor camp how they treat their workers. How can they expect someone to be happy and take care of these children like their suspose to when they have cuella devile and her side kick over their shoulder about every littler thing. Also my child has had several soiled diapers with stool dried on his backside indicating it wasn't changed in a while. I'm fed up with this out of date, high teacher turnover having, no customer service having daycare. Your child will not learn anything here. TRUST ME childrens friend up the street is much better and its close to the price of this place. Mostly strippers and welfare moms use this faciility. They don't give a sh*t about their kids.
My daughter has been attending for the past 7 months and we have been very satisfied so far. The facility is clean, organized, and very open with large viewing windows and/or video cameras with views displayed on monitor at front desk easily seen. The staff is consistently friendly and upbeat and from the start have gone out of their way to make my daughter feel comfortable. She had previously been to two other facilities and this was the first one where she did not always cry when I left her and/or picked her up. This is also the first one where she started gabing about and/or showing me enthusiastically what she was doing and learning as soon as I walked through the door to pick her up.
I absolutely LOVE Child Life Academy!!!!!!! The Staff is amazing especially Ms. Mickey, Ms. Cee, Ms. Raila, Ms. Kizzy, Ms. Erica, and Ms. Raquel. My son surprises me every day with something new that he learned at school. My son is 3 and can count in spanish up to 13! The meals they feed the children are very well balanced and the teachers are very open. He has learned so much since starting at Child Life Academy last June I am very satisfied with the service.
Child’s Life Academy has blossomed into an accelerated academy that focuses on the growth and development of each child. As a proud parent, I am impressed with the efforts of the faculty and staff to ensure a proper education as well as friendly customer service and an open communication policy that is effective. My daughter has learned so much since attending Child’s Life Academy. The teachers are CDA certified and have attained educational degrees. The Christian environment has allowed my child to also grow in God. I recommend this facility to any parent looking for flexibility, security, and a phenomenal educational program.
It saddens me to read these negative reviews a few people have written, as I have been bringing my daughter here for four years now. There has never been any problem of any kind in that entire four years. Not only is the staff professional and educated, but every one of them has made my daughter and myself feel welcome and loved. My daughter can not wait to come to school, and is constantly speaking about how much she loves her teachers. These are our children here, and just because you can not follow the simple rules and regulations, you feel the need to write some nasty comment about someone. I was actually in the building picking up my daughter the evening that woman REFUSED to pay, and was amazed. Is she serious?, is this the lesson this mom is gonna teach her child?.....yep. She left without paying, plain as day. If you leave target with a cart of merchandise and do not pay, the cops will be called...no different here. Then to top it off, she's gonna feel the need to post a comment online about the center. Amazing! Seriously, who has this kind of nerve? You did wrong in front of your child, you should be hiding, not posting comments online.
Again, I need to say that I couldn't imagine taking my daughter anywhere else, she is safe, well taught, and happier every day that I pick her up. Keep up the good work ms. Mickie and her staff, my daughter and I love you guys for all that you do for us everyday.
This is a wonderful daycare! They are very helpful to my husband and I, along with being flexible with our schedules. My son started out at a different daycare and my husband found this one. It is much more convenient to us. Not to mention the very reasonable pricing. I get to keep my arm and leg, unlike others that charge a fortune. My son started out in the infant room, and grew to love Mrs. T. He would feel very comfortable going to and being around her. He would reach out to go to her when we had to drop him off and no one else. He has now advanced o the next room and doesn't want to leave when he is being picked up. He shows he is having too much fun by playing with the toys provided, wanting to take them with him home and looking at the books. The staff knows him by name, calls him when he is passing by in the hallways, and we are all, my son, husband, and myself, are greeted with friendliness by all the workers. My son is fed a variety of nutritious items, which gives him a chance to try numerous types of foods. The teachers and director are very fair, as far as determining the best disciplinary actions to all. We have highly recommended this daycare to several with no hesitation!
We have a 4 month old daughter staying at Childs Life Academy. We are very happy with the facility and the job that the staff does. They are very nice and seem to actually enjoy what they do. They did require proof of all immunizations that the state requires. We have had had nothing short of a wonderful daycare experience since we started taking our daughter there. It has always seemed to be clean and tidy when we are there. Our daughter really enjoys going there too.
As a mother of 2 children looking for evening child care, I dropped by Childs Life Academy the other afternoon for a tour. The owner talked "policies and procedures" which were complicated and numerous. Not once did she mention FUN as my children are 2 and 4. Red flag number 1. The 2 year room was chaotic with too many children for 2 people to properly supervise. The 4 year teacher was unfriendly and children appeared to be miserable. However, the infant room was pleasantly quiet and seemed under control. Before I left, I asked a parent in the parking lot her take on the place. She said payment is due on Monday. Tuesday is "pay to stay- no exceptions w a $25 late fee- no payment arrangements". Is this standard practice? I was not impressed. I want my children to be treated as children not as dollar signs. As professional and educated as they claim to be, they are not kid friendly, and definately not the best child care center in Sandy Springs.
I agree with another mom concerned about this center. First of all "Your schedule is our schedule" does not apply to this place. I had to cancel my meeting, because a grumpy old lady at front desk did not feel like taking my daughter at that time and asked me to come back later. Then, she called me to tell that my daughter calls teacher names. We are bi-lingual family and my daughter does not even know these words. In the end it does not matter, there was no reason to call me at all, they should be able to handle these issues. I felt discriminated and my day was totally ruined.
I also wanted to confirm that they never asked me for immunization records or birth certificate, and in fact they did not even have my registration form that I originally filled out with allergy information. This is a big concern to me, since they have peanut butter for meals.
Recently, my son attended this school for two days. They did not ask for shot records or a birth certificate. I grew very concerned about the way that they did business. So, I asked the owner Mickey Silver if I could ask a few questions and the school and its contracts. She immediately grew defensive and said, "yes!" I wanted to know why all of the parents were complaining about their balances and if she could walk me through her contract to ensure that my balance remained the same - once my son became a full time student. She provided the same explanation, in which was not helpful. I returned Friday morning with my son for one more day of trail bases with this school and learned that she had a note behind the desk stating, "do not accept ......" my son! I feel that is was a very discriminating act of the owner. The way it was done was tasteless and the school smells bad. I grew very thankful that this had taken place. While I was walking out their way a lady walking in (that new the code) that look like a she lived on the street. She walked in a classroom and began working. He shoes were dirty and she had her feet slid in, the heels of her feet were pressed on top of her shoes. Her hair was not combed and her hands were dirty. She entered the room without washing her hands and immediately began care of a child.
My two children have been coming to this facility for the last three years. I have always recieved great service and help when needed from Ms. Micki and her staff. They are all well educated, very professional, and well trained. Her staff have always treated my children with fantastic care and treat all of their students equally. Their great rates and 24-hour service have been a life saver. I would NEVER go anywhere else.
Great center. Fantastic location and hours. Terrific staff. Could not ask for anything better.
My daughter was attending this academy until she was involved in a situation with another child at the school. They claim everything is being watched all day, but they’re full of crap. My daughter was sexual harassed but no one believed her but me. The owner and all the other adults tried to convince me that it’s just a big understanding... This place needs to get shut down if they are not going to be there for the kids instead of a dollar.
