My daughter has attended here for 2 years and spent time in both the 3 year old classroom and 4 year old class. She has loved it here, and I have loved that she enjoys it! She adores her teachers, shows me letters and numbers she learns every day, and her favorite part is playing on the playground with her friends. They have a huge gym to play in inside when weather isn't cooperating, too! I get to see pictures every day and the teacher's are great at communicating about what is going on with her or items that may be needed. SO thankful for everyone here, I work at peace knowing she is in fabulous hands!
First, I would like to start off by saying that these reviews are extremely aged. I have been at Calvary with two of my children for the last 6 years now. I have been there when things were not top notch at this facility. With that being said, the individuals in place over the last handful of years have put so much time and effort into making this a wonderful place to send your children. The individuals that work at the facility are all cheerful and pleasant to interact with. There is a chain of command with an assistant director and director in place. Both ladies do a wonderful job in their position and are respected. This facility is and always has been secured. No one can come in the facility without being let in. If you are not a parent that is known by facial recognition by a member of the staff, you will have to show ID. This may be a nuisance to some but this is a major plus to me. I like knowing the facility my children are in is locked down at all times. There are security cameras in place. They now have real time apps in place to advise you of your child's day such as: Restroom breaks/diaper changes, snacks/meal time (how much your child ate/what they ate), accident reports (Example: Little Johnny tripped over a toy at play time and scraped his knee). The app allows you to electronically check your child in and out of the facility. You can electronically pay your tuition through the app, you can upload any medical information such as updated shot records through the app. They now serve a hot lunch as well as two snacks a day. The classrooms have been upgraded and given a cheerful facelift. My children's teachers have been consistent as well as their classrooms and classmates. This shows the stability of structure in place at Calvary. A meal plan is sent out each prior week so you are aware of the upcoming meals. There is a monthly calendar/newsletter sent out without fail. Fun days are planned for the kiddos such as hat day, dress like a super hero day, pj day, etc. Communication is always open as you can call and/or message your teacher through the app throughout the day. Another perk, which may not matter to some is that the teachers generally send you personal pictures of your kiddos having fun throughout the day via the app. This is always a bright spot in my day seeing that they are being loved and having fun learning! You will not regret sending your little one here!
My grandson has been going here for over a year and all the workers seem very nice. We have not had any major problems. My grandson enjoys going and playing with his friends. They serve lunch and snacks. The facility is always clean anytime I am there and they do have classes and seem to have good instruction for each age/grade level. We are very pleased with this facility.
I guess first off I should have done better research for this place. My daughter went here for 2 weeks. Now the only thing the facility is worried about is getting their money for the 2 week notice. Really kicking my self in the A for not researching more.
The daycare had a constant odor to it. Never once smelled clean, there is no structure for the children. My daughter went there after school and basically they just let them do whatever they want. When I would go in to pick her up they were usually on the playground and the room was left in a mess. There was always food laying around the room, toys all over the place, and I always had to walk around the room and search for my daughters things. I was not once asked who I was there to pick up. I don't recall seeing the same person twice and not one person was concerned with me coming into the daycare with no id or clue as to who I was. The lack of communication from the teachers to the parents about my daughters day is just unacceptable. My child was bit or stung, no one informed us about it. I should have trust my gut instinct after walking in, this is just not somewhere I want to leave my child any longer and I would highly suggest finding anywhere else to take yours.
This Daycare should have zero stars, my daughter started here when she was 18 months old was suppose to be in a class of 6 and the facility bragged about their education program. I dropped her off everyday she went in to the room wih the newborns and everyday when I picker her up she was in that same room sitting or laying in the corner with her thumb in her mouth. We stayed 30 days would not have stayed that long but I had to find another facility to go to. In the 30 days we were there never saw any type of educational program and there was very little interaction from the staff with my daughter she was left in the corner to fin for herself. Would not recommend this Facility as a daycare or as an before/after school facility, they receive a big fat ZERO from me.
This daycare doesn't even deserve a 1star rating.The directors are not qualified to run a preschool.my child went there for awhile and I had several issues with the teachers and you couldn't go to the directors they always made excuses for there staff,they don't care about the kids,I would come to get my child,kids be running wild,smelled,teachers be setting in the gym setting gossiping and not watching the kids.did really know how bad they was till I went to new school and it's wonderful and my son loves it ,they are everything Calvary isn't ,my child stayed sick cause they never clean,my child hasn't been sick once since I left that place.supposed to be a Christian preschool,nothing godly or Christian about it!!!
Poor poor poor daycare!!!! the director is very rude and will avoid you as much as possible if you have a problem!!! the place is dirty and every time I have have gone into the school the kids were running around there was no "classes" and the teachers were not well kept they have very young girls keeping babies!!! and your child will never have the same teacher!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!!
Do not be fooled with the director at this place. THIS PLACE DOESN'T EVEN DESEVRE ONE STAR! My child went there for approximately one year. The director is rude and could care less about your child. My fiance worked a 2nd shift schedule, so the only time he really was able to see our child was in the morning. Due to their strict schedule of having to have children there by 9:00 am, it was not possible for him to spend much time with her. The breaking point was one morning when he got her there at approximately 5 minutes after 9:00 am and told my child and fiance that she could not come in. This is a spot we paid for and as we all know is not cheap! We figured it out....if they didn't have enough children there, then they could send workers home and didn't have to pay them. We enrolled her in another daycare not too far up towards Springfield.....sooooo much better. They serve the children hot lunches, have plenty of room, it doesn't smell, and their philosophy is that we pay for that spot, so the child can be brought whenever. I ALSO HAVE TO SAY THAT I HAVE RUN INTO OTHER PARENTS THAT HAVE TAKEN THEIR CHILDREN OUT OF CALVARY AND PUT THEM IN THE ONE MY CHILD IS IN NOW. You will not be sorry.
