Description: Head Start is a free, comprehensive program for children ages 3 years & 3 months to kindergarten eligible whose families meet income guidelines (100% of Poverty). Children with diagnosed disabilities may start at age 3 and are not subject to income guidelines. Funded through the Department of Health and Human Services, Head Start serves 306 children per school year in Wayne County.
