Description: The concept for A Kinder-Prep Preschool came from my experiences as a public school teacher. year after year it seemed that my 1st graders who came to me experiencing struggles academically were children who lacked confidence in their abilities. They didnt attempt as often as other students to question explore or take risks in learning. I read researched and discovered that during a childs first 5 years of life they are building their self-esteem as well as problem-solving skills. From birth they are experiencing the world and are developing senses of security. When a child feels secure they will take more chances explore more freely and this is when learning takes place! The experiences children have in the first 5 years of life set the foundation for their success motivation and self-esteem that they will carry through with them in their academic careers as well as their entire life. I decided that my dream was to be a part of that! Thanks to a very caring and patient husband Brighten Academy is the result of that dream.

I feel bad giving 2 stars because the staff is friendly. However, recently I had to remove my son because I feared for his well-being as well as the well-being of my family. There was always some sort of illness/disease circulating through this facility. To name a short few, Covid 19, Corona Virus, RSV and Hand Foot Mouth Disease. My son would bring these illnesses home to my infant. It was a constant problem in our home and my 6 month old was even hospitalized. Something to consider if you have other children in the home. RARELY do they send sick children home. YES PARENTS BRING THEIR SICK kids constantly because you still have to pay whether your child attends or not...there are no sick days and no vacation/makeup days. The staff is ALWAYS changing...teachers are constantly coming and going which is never a good sign and I don't think it's beneficial for the children. It's kind of sad because the kids do not understand and they really need consistency. Lastly, I question the learning aspect of this preschool. A former teacher told me that it's all kind of for show if you will to keep the parents happy. Sure they have cameras here and they send the kids home with cute drawings and handprints etc but that's the extent of it. Brighten is more like a daycare/babysitting service rather than a preschool.
My Grandson, Mason Rogers, has been in Miss Taylor and Miss Lauren's room this year.
They were so patient and loving with him when he first starting there.
I was so so nervous about daycare.
I watched him from my PC for a month.
I became so comfortable with Brighton.
When I have picked him up, everyone is so polite and kind.
I will miss Mason's teachers and hope next years will be just as enjoyable for him.
I will recommend Brighton at a heartbeat!!
