Since 2005 Bouncin' Babies & Kool Kids Child Care Center and Preschool has developed a quality childcare facility with a focus on education and developmental needs of children. The philosophy at Bouncin' Babies & Kool Kids is to provide a fun-loving, educational experience in a nurturing environment.

Description: Contrary to s. 48.686(2)(ab) Wis. Stats., the center is still failing to submit criminal background check (CBC) requests to the department prior to new Staff becoming caregivers. On the day of the complaint investigation, there were 5 staff in classrooms that the center had failed to submit the required background check request. Even after a citation was issued for one staff in April, the center still had failed to submit the required request and continued to place this staff in a caregiver role.

Description: Based on an 8 day attendance record review, the Mountain room was over the maximum group size for the ages served in the room on May 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17 and on the morning of the complaint visit. Some days it was over the maximum group size for several hours. The Ocean room was over the maximum group size for the ages served in the room on May 8 and 9.

Based on an 8 day attendance record review on May 10 across two hours there were 10 children in this room, exceeding the maximum number of children allowed per square footage. The room capacity for the Desert room is 16. On the day of the complaint visit there were 23 children being cared for in this room, exceeding the maximum number of children allowed per square footage.

Description: based on an 8 day attendance record review infants and toddlers are regularly being moved between rooms, some on a daily basis, outside of the first two or the last two hours of the day because of ratios and/or group sizes. Rule states each infant and toddler shall be cared for by a regularly assigned child care worker in a specific self-contained room or area. Infants and toddlers may not be transferred to the care of another child care worker or another group or room in order to adjust group sizes or staff-to-child ratios.

Description: Based on an 8 day review of attendance records, on May 8 there were 5 children under the age of two in the group of 9 children in the Waterfall room. Rule states when infants and toddlers are part of a mixed-age group, the size of the group may not exceed 8. On May 16 there was one child under the age of two in the group of 10 children in the Sunset room. Rule states when infant and toddlers are part of a mixed-age group, the size of the group may not exceed 8.

Description: On the day of the complaint visit there were 7 children to 1 staff in the Ocean room. All the children were under the age of 2, which would require 1 additional staff as the ratio for this age group of children is 1 teacher for every 4 children.
