My son attended for 3 months. He is almost 4. He had been struggling at nap time and would behave defiantly (no hitting, but refusing to be quiet and acting out). We were called to a parent's conference to implement a behavior improvement plan. We were strongly assured that we would try this plan and then another until the problem was solved. We put the plan in action and were told every day that his behavior was improving. Then, one and a half weeks after the first meeting, we were called to pick him up mid-day. The next day we were told that the center was discontinuing service effective immediately because our son would not nap. We both work full-time and needed to immediately take time off until we could locate another provider. Additionally, my son does not really understand why he cannot go back and this is now an experience of failure and rejection that is unneccesarily imprinted in his little impressionable psyche. I feel truly betrayed by the center's director and staff who did not honor their end of the agreement and who have done harm to my child. I strongly advise parents to consider the many viable alternatives, also with 3 star quality ratings in the area. The teachers at Bombeck are dominated by young students whose lack of experience is a real issue. Go someplace that will work with you or risk an experience like mine. I wish I could go back in time and never place him there.
