Description: The Blossman YMCA Preschool Child Care Center is dedicated to providing a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment for children ages thirteen months to five years. Our goal is to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of youngchildren through developmentally appropriate experiences with considering individual needs, temperament, and learning styles.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. The program director, Lakeisha Wright, is excellent, as are all of the teachers we have had the pleasure to be in contact with. Our child attended Pre-K here for the last year. She is meeting or exceeding all of our education goals for her and she loves her teachers. (Shout out to Ms. Marley and Ms. Caitlyn - her faves). Our experience here has been amazing and we are very thankful for the care and love provided to our little one!
The director of the facility is extremely ill mannered and unprofessional. She hired a woman accused of assaulting a four year old child at another facility to look after one and two year olds. When asked if she knew about the incident she initially lied and then became rude to parents about questioning their children’s safety. The entire preschool needs a flush with a new director.
Personnel are lazy and uncooperative. My child has has come home many times with fevers over 102, had breathing troubles, and on several occassions I've had to take him directly to the ER. Daycare never notified me on these occassions. There is a lack on communication between providers when they switch over also. No one ever knows anything about my child, how his day was or how many times he had a potty accident, or how he got bumps and brusies. HORRIBLE!
