The philosophy of Bermuda Dunes Learning Center is that each child is unique and requires individual attention to preserve and enhance his/her dignity, worth, and uniqueness. BDLC has a child centered approach which focuses on the development of the whole child. When working with the child, BDLC employs knowledge of child development. It is our belief that children are natural learners with their own strengths and that children learn best through doing. BDLC provides a hands-on, positive learning environment approach where children are constantly experiencing personal growth and success. At BDLC, we recognize that children are best understood in the context of family, culture, and society, and the close ties between child and family must be appreciated and supported. We strive to help children and families learn, grow, thrive, and achieve their full potential through relationships that are based on trust, respect and compassion. The goal of Bermuda Dunes Learning Center is to provide a high quality early childhood program that meets the needs of each individual child. We believe children are unique individuals who learn through hand-on experiences. Therefore, our program's objectives are to foster positive self-concept, develop social skills, encourage language skills, enhance physical development, encourage creative expression, develop a respect for cultural diversity, learn basic concepts and develop critical thinking skills, and promote health, safety, and nutritional practices. It is these objectives that are critical to the development of the WHOLE child. Bermuda Dunes Learning Center offers a variety of six different programs from infant through school age.
