The director is very immature and unprofessional. Her and her staff will lie about things to avoid consequences, and when you bring up your concerns, they take it out on your children. More then half the staff does not even acknowledge the parents, nor look at them, so you don't know how your child's day was unless you ask. There was an incident and no report was written up or given to me, and the teacher said it wasn't needed. The very next day one is tapped to my daughter's cubby. Seems the staff doesn't know how to do their job. They don't even deserve one star.
A meeting was scheduled with me, my children, staff, director, owner and the state, and the owner couldn't even sit in on the meeting he scheduled. During the meeting Miss Jess (the director), Miss Liz and Miss Michaela all were very defensive, yelling, and started calling my children liars for things they told the state investigator. Very immature and unprofessional way to carry yourself through a meeting, especially for the director. These 3 will tell you that your child is a liar to protect themselves and their license. My 7 year old and another 10 year old were left unattended. The other 10 year old tells the same story as my children but yet, they're all lying according to Miss Jess. The day of the incident, I was told one story by Miss Liz and Miss Michaela, then as soon as Miss Jess got involved, the story had changed to protect her and her daughter from the consequences that would follow had the truth leaked out. I'm very concerned about the level of professionalism here, and the care of the kids. Twice I picked my children up and Miss Michaela had her back turned to all the kids, or all the teachers were half a football fields length from the kids at the park.
Once I reported the daycare to the state, is when retaliation took place. My kids were treated differently by Miss Jess and her daughter, Miss Michaela. We weren't invited to the family picnic, and when I asked, Doug, the owner, about it, he said he'd get us an invitation, yet we never received one. Very unprofessional, immature, and in my opinion, no morale. I feel bad for all those kids under these teachers and directors watch. The center can't keep teachers. They have lost 5 in less then 10 months, 3 in the last 2 months. I wish I saw all the citations and reviews before ever putting my children in this center!!
If you research, you'll find citations for similar things I just expressed concerns about here. I hope they make the necessary changes sooner then later. I know they've lost my business forever, due to the simple fact the director, nor her daughter, can admit and take ownership for the wrongs that happened! And the lack of concern shown by the owner! But, that will never happen as it's a state violation and there's lots at risk if she did take ownership! No one is perfect, but at least admit when your wrong or have done wrong! I sincerely hope no other parent has to endure the treatment we did, as well as the safety concerns when 2 children were walking from the park, unattended!
If 0 stars was an option, it’s what i’d select. My daughter was pushed by another child and banged her head pretty good. She reported it to her teacher for absolutely nothing to be done. There was blood crusted into her hair & coat, and a gash the size of a thumb nail with an open flap on her head. I wasn’t never called, it was never documented. But was told to me by a teacher who was not my daughters teacher. I do not recommend this daycare center by ANY means
